The Barat Tioman Beach Resort Reviews

Food at restaurant was good and fairly affordable for some dishes. Not much service provided. Type of activities was normal. Room was basic and definitely not new. Has holes around which allow cockroach to pass through (found one at night in the shower). Swimming pool was basic too. House reef have to walk far away to the end of the beach. Filled mainly with Asians.

Great environment. Relaxing and doable. Great Sunrise except for occasional overcast. The beach is white. The size of the room is comfortable. Beds are big. The deluxe room has a small balcony which leads to the swimming pool and dining hall. The room is not the cleanest. Saw some baby cockroaches running around the bathroom. The pillows are way too soft. The Aircon power is very weak Occasional power trips. There are a few dive shops along the way. Good selection for divers who wants different experience diving around Juara. Food prices are average. There is a roti canai shop mia cafe. Which sells out out very quickly. Be on time at 7am if you want to try it.

Chill hotel, staffs are friendly and accommodating, receptionists are doing a great job. Food is towards the expensive side but there are other food options around. Would be great if the hotel stop charging in-house guests for snorkeling equipment. Nevertheless, we enjoy our time in Barat.

The hotel is 30mins ride away from jetty and the road was bumpy and steep and it cost rm30 per trip per pax. Won't recommend for elderly and small children as the ride is very bumpy and my husband felt car sick after the ride. The hotel is quite clean but the beach cannot snorkel as there is waves. It is more suitable for surfing. There is nothing much to do at the resort in the afternoon either go to ali waterfall or swim at the pool. Will book other hotels next time.

Located at the other side of the island. Hotel staff very attentive. Great hospitality.

Unreasonable price for this villa! With a bad view and terrible location my advice is not to book this hotel if you have a lot of activities like diving or etc the place is too unfriendly cause of the transportation

Best and quiet place to stay with family. Not a place where the nights are alive. Best food too at the corner of the hotel. The beach at the hotel's front is clean, the only thing I hope was, there were coral reefs too.

Good location. The facilities were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beach was clean and accessible. Reaching here was a bit difficult as you had to get down at Tekek Village and then take a taxi across the island to the other side.

A very nice hotel at Tioman Island Clean hotel, clean room. Nice and clean beach. A lot of beach activities to play.

Great resort to stay with very easy access to the beach. Very lively place, great for families to chill. Stayed in the standard room. Good to bring own toiletries. No channels on TV. Delicious eatery beside the hotel. Don't mind staying here again.

Hotel transport to jetty is not free, will charge RM30/person per way. The cleanliness just ok and we stay 3 days no ppl help to clean the trash, this will need to have improvements. The staff is friendly and the night view is really good. There’s bar on the beach, can have some alcohol and enjoy the night sea view.

My trip to the barat resort went smoothly. The room and surrounding meet my expectations. Happy that i chose this hotel too! Quiet and peaceful. Thanks The Barat!

Hotel location is good. Not a lot of restaurants nearby. Not a lot of food options in hotel. Cleanliness was very bad. I found lizards and cockroaches in my room. Towels had a bad smell and stains. Shower by the pool had dirt coming out of the shower. Not alot of activities. Will visit Tioman again but stay at a different place.

Very nice hotel and I think is the best in Tioman but provided u must have the time to travel that far…..
