This hostel is near Taipei's Longmen Temple.
For some reason, there's a dartboard in the shared space in the basement. 🎯
There are a lot of Chinese guests here.
As with other hostels, there weren't many Western backpackers.
I had imagined interacting in English, but perhaps Chinese people don't often greet each other, so the atmosphere was quiet and not very social.
The hostel's facilities were neither good nor bad, with the bare necessities provided, making it a good value for money stay.
There's also a Carrefour nearby, so you can shop like a local.

This youth hostel is located near Taipei Longshan Temple Station and Ximending MRT Station. It has convenient dining options nearby, a comfortable rest area, and good sleep quality. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The location is convenient and the staff is friendly, but the cleanliness is average. Even though the sheets are new, there are still a lot of small white spots. There are flies on the shower walls, and the toilet doesn't seem to be cleaned often. The only good thing is that the 12-person room I stayed in was not full, so it wasn't noisy.

I've stayed here three times now, and recently, due to some unexpected events, I've become almost a regular. Compared to other hostels, the beds at Yujian are very clean, and the air conditioning is plenty cold, which is really important!
Towel and toiletries rentals are reasonably priced.
The location is also very convenient, just five minutes from Exit 3 of Longshan Temple and easily accessible to Ximending. The staff are all very friendly and polite. I highly recommend it to any international friends looking for accommodations.
