Discovery Motel (Nan'gang) Reviews

I stayed at Discovery Motel Nan’gang for three nights. While the pricing is reasonable and the included simple breakfast is appreciated, it’s important to note that this motel is designed with couples in mind and is not suitable for families or those seeking a more traditional hotel experience. The key advantage is its convenience for those traveling by car — each room has a dedicated parking spot right in front of the door, which makes access very easy. The location is relatively accessible by car, but may not be ideal for guests relying on public transportation. Overall, it offers good value for specific types of travelers, especially couples or solo drivers, but I would not recommend it for family stays.

Was totally shocked. In the end we decided not to.stay and find another hotel. Both rooms.allocated were not suitable for.family.travlers. kids don't feel.comfortable. bad service and very inconvenient. Not a single requests are being fulfilled. Attitude was very indifferent even when we feedback and request for different room and pointed out that we stated our request earlier. Very disappointed. Unpleasant experience !

Find a hotel with convenient parking. The price is also very reasonable. Go to see Wu Bai's concert that day, and go hiking on the next day. For those who drive to the north, it is a good choice.

The cost-performance ratio is not very high. Especially regarding the access control. You can only give your room card to the front desk when you go out.

Room facilities are totally unavailable

The bathtub in the room was very dirty and the soundproofing was poor. I had applied for a renewal of the original room the day before and the hotel had confirmed the order. The next day at noon, I was notified to check out, saying that the renewal of the original room was the second order, and the start time of the second order was after 6:00 pm. I was asked to check out first and leave my luggage at the front desk. When I came back at night, I asked about my original room. The front desk said that their rooms were allocated according to the on-site conditions and there was no way to renew the original room, which was contrary to the platform's promise to renew the original room. The room was not flushed after being cleaned up.

It's scary Won't go again

It's rotten, the environment is dirty, the equipment is old, and the attitude of the service staff is very bad.

Except for the old rooms, other facilities are pretty good, the price is reasonable, breakfast dishes include porridge and toast, it would be better if there is one more choice.

The equipment is very old. There is no charging socket in the business room. Only the dehumidifier can be unplugged and used.

It's an older room, and the air conditioner smells like cigarette smoke. Once you press the massage button in the bath, you can't stop 🤣 The faucet is not closed tightly and will leak. Having parking in Taipei is really convenient! The price is cheap too.

The room is large and the equipment is a bit old but it is still a very clean place. The price is reasonable and the service is friendly. I would recommend it and come again!
