"I booked a double room for one night on Wednesday for $828. I read reviews saying that the higher floors (5F) were quieter, so I noted in the booking that I hoped to be assigned to the 5F and not a corner room. I checked in around 10 pm that night. It was difficult to park my motorcycle, and the hotel wouldn't give me a refund. The downside was that the corner room, 501, was next to the emergency exit. I thought it would be quiet, but around midnight, there was a constant, loud noise from the top floor, like a motor running, which disturbed my sleep. I stayed at this hotel for the first time and had an uncomfortable and sleepless night."

"They were so good to upgrade my husband and I to a bigger room for a family though we didn’t necessarily need it, but it was a good upgrade. The staff was very kind. It was a little hard to find the place, but at least there was a sign outside of the hallway to get you basically where you needed to go. Laundry was VERY limited. They didn’t say that, but they should have because there were only 2 washers and dryers for 200+ rooms and they were only open from 8a-10:30p, not 24 hours. They advertised but you rarely had a chance to do it."

"Clean and well kept hotel. Very close to the train station (just across the road) and next to a shopping mall. However, would still need to take uber to other sights of Tainan. Check in took quite a while as we had 2 rooms booked under Trip.com. Originally gave us only one room with a Trip.com voucher which indicated 2 rooms. After checking for a fairly long while, they found the other room. Quite surprised of this service standard from shangri-la brand of hotels. We booked 2 nights and early morning which is around 8+am, housekeeping came knocking on our door to want to clean and tidy the room while we were still in bed. Asked how long we needed to let her in to clean the room. Was speechless as this is the first time we had such an encounter. Disappointed with the service but location and cleanliness of the hotel are good."

"The room size was just right, and the two twin beds were comfortable. It was quiet. The bay window in the room offered a wide view. The hotel's location is excellent. In front, there's the Museum of Justice and an art gallery, and next to it, there's the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store. It's only a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk to popular spots like Chihkan Tower, Hayashi Department Store, and West Market. The hotel lobby is tall, bright, spacious, and elegant, with comfortable seating. Both the front desk staff and the doorman were very polite. A special shout-out to Cai Renqin from the restaurant: when we mentioned the pizza crust was a bit too burnt, he immediately had the kitchen remake one, even though we had already eaten half of it, and made sure the new one was to our liking. He was very polite and responsible, truly deserving of praise. The breakfast was very extensive and served until 11 AM, which is great for guests who prefer to sleep in. The spa facilities were also complete and spacious, not stingy at all. Highly recommended! 👍"

Tho bring eye mask and earplugs cause it gets noisy and bright in the morning. Would def stay again."

GGuest UserThis is a luxury type of hostel experience. I really enjoyed my stay there. The decor, furnishings, amenities and lovely staff are of extremely high quality. The rooms are quite nice as well. You have your own room with premium bedding. Instead of a door, there is a curtain, so you need to be mindful of noise created since it will carry through the whole area. Each room has six individual rooms I believe. The units have a very easy to use safe under the bed. The bathrooms are quite clean and have high quality dryers and other amenities. The gym left some weights to be desired, although in their defense it is billed as a ”mini-gym.” It has two stationary bikes and one treadmill. I noticed some yoga mats and foam rollers in the common area. The wifi was great and I was able to work without issue. Loved the location as well, quite convenient to get around, and also easy to walk to the bus station. There are a ton of food options in the immediate area, and there is a laundromat on the first floor outside, next to the large 7/11 that is 24 hours.

From booking to check-in, he provided detailed information about various things, including local food, tourist activities, and transportation instructions, which saved us a lot of time searching. The B&B is located in the city, with convenient transportation, warm and comfortable layout, and quiet in a bustling city. I highly recommend it!

Vvictor zhongThe overall service quality at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and polite, proactively reached out to guests, and their responses were always prompt and helpful. The hotel's surroundings were quiet and elegant. Its prime location meant it wasn't impacted by nearby buildings, and there was ample space for relaxation nearby. The room facilities were well-maintained, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, the bathtub was a bit old and had some cracks, though it didn't pose any immediate danger. The bathroom's glass door could benefit from frosted film to make it more visible, reducing the chance of collisions, or to enhance user privacy! Moreover, the privacy curtain was installed outside the bathroom, which was not very convenient to use. For the extra bed, an open-style screen could be added to provide more personal space and privacy, and minimize direct sightlines with the main bed. The breakfast quality was very satisfactory, especially the buffet.

GGabrielle TengThe location is great as it is located to the restaurant and bars cluster. The facilities are clean, well equipped and relatively new. My only issue is with the desk staff, they were not friendly to start with, upon arrival (about 12pm) we were told to just park our luggage at a corner, no tags were assigned, no labelling, nothing. Then told to come back to do check-in at 3pm, they cannot any time earlier than that, so we left and came back at 3pm. At this point it was a female staff with bangs that helped us, I showed her the hotel booking email and she said she wants the Trip.com booking app page, I showed her and she said she wants to see the booking ID. I showed her that too and at this point she said ”read it out to me”. The booking ID was on my phone screen and she didn't even bother to see it, and wants me to READ IT ALOUD TO HER. Maybe she's dyslexic? I don't know. Then I added on one extra day of stay which did not reflect on the paper that she asked me to sign so I pointed that out and she double confirmed that it was printed wrongly. Fast forward a few days, all of our access cards were not able to work for our same rooms that we stayed, I assume it is because she did not grant the correct number of days upon check in, which also resulted in some inconvenience going to and fro the room and counter. And that same staff carried the same attitude when renewing the faulty access cards. Every morning the breakfast service staff was rude as well, like I owed her a million dollars or something, ”you which room? you sit here”. One morning she came to me ”how many people in your room? not 2 person?”, I stayed alone in a 3pax family room with no changes at all. I really dread breakfast everyday. When we checked out there was a new crew of desk staff which was much better in terms of attitude and service, it was the weekend team. I had 2 more weeks of stay in Tainan and I moved to another hotel. Overall I will not stay in this hotel ever again, other than the service, everything is great.

YYouThe hotel facilities are well-maintained, and the public hydrotherapy pool is regularly updated and maintained. The rooms are clean and bright, and the breakfast buffet offers a diverse and plentiful selection. The only minor drawback was that the service staff seemed a bit indifferent. Despite that, we are regular guests, traveling from Taipei twice a year, and we always choose to stay at Jingda, largely because their hydrotherapy pool, which is unique in Taiwan, is absolutely fantastic.

少少林華I stayed in this hotel in this April, which is a wonderful experience. Thus, I brought my family (total 4) to stay in this hotel again. Unfortunately, the experience of this time is not pleasant. First of all, as i m the IHG member, I am entitled to have welcome drink. Last time, we can drink in the lobby lounge, but this time, the waitress declined us to take the drink at the lounge and requested us to take away the drinks. Whats ridiculous?! The welcome drink is offered by the hotel, but i m not wrlcome to drink at the lounge. Secondly, the cleaning service is not pleasant, two cups in my room have not been cleaned. Thirdly, the food serving of beef soup is very unsatisfactory. I don't understand why I requested to have more soup and got a black face from the chef. I spent over US$600 for two nights, but seems not be welcomed from the lounge nor restaurant. I would not recommend others to stay in this luxury but not welcome hotel
