Mingao Spring Hotel Reviews

I misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely. The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom! The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)

The layout of the room is a bit odd; bed parked to wall, no clothes hanger, only hooks, toilet placed in a dead corner and you may easily hit yourself when you turn. They did not provide bath mat and bath curtain. You need to be very careful when you walk on a slippery floor. However, I need to appreciate the staff there. They are very helpful and polite and kept everything clean.

The room is large and comfortable. There is a private hot spring bath inside and a small balcony outside. Breakfast for one person includes free coffee, sandwiches, salads and fruits. Unfortunately, there are not many sockets in the room. There is only one socket at the bedside.

When we communicated in advance, I felt it was pretty good. Because I have the need to bring pets, the store also informed me in advance of the cleaning fee. I felt very good about this aspect. When we arrived at the scene, the store was very helpful in assisting with parking and check-in, and even helped carry the luggage upstairs. Thank you very much. The room is very big and great. The bath is extremely big. The overall experience is very good. The cleanliness of the room is also great The geographical environment is excellent. Guguan Bus Station is diagonally opposite, and there are hot stir-fry shops and snack shops next to it. A little further down the road is the famous hot spring Osmanthus Alley and suspension bridge, as well as Guguan Park (with footbath pool and kissing fish). Overall a great place~~ Best of all it's pet friendly! !

The equipment is completely different from the original photos As soon as I checked in and saw the equipment in the room, I went crazy. The soundproofing is so poor that you can hear sounds from the next door room even when you use the toilet. This is not an exaggeration, it is really true

The hotel feels a bit old. The hot spring in the room is a highlight, but it tastes no different from hot water and there is no hot spring smell at all. After reading the introduction of the Customs Museum next door, I became even more skeptical about the hot spring water here?

No heating. The room is very cold. The equipment is old. During the Chinese New Year, the price and room rates cannot be balanced.

The mountain view room is blocked by the construction site outside. The sound insulation is very poor. I was woken up early in the morning by the sound of the room and the construction site. Like sleeping on a construction site

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located near walking trails, restaurants, and suspension bridges. The service staff have good attitudes, the breakfast is rich, the rooms are comfortable, and the large bathtub in the bathroom is filled with hot spring water. Missing: TV equipment needs to be updated.

We checked in at 2pm and the front desk staff said that the originally booked room would not be handed over until 17:00. So elevate the room to us. But the hot spring pool in the elevated room went from two to a large pool.We can also soak as a family of three together.Changed the gameplay! I don't know if it's good or bad! The spring water is very good, no negative reviews. But in the morning I wanted to soak again and found that the spring water was not hot enough as last night.The towel was a bit old and should have been updated!
