I have been to Mount Tai many times, and this is the first time I stayed near the South Gate. This location is very close to the entrance of Hongmen Mountain Climbing. It is located in the nearby village houses. It is not very eye-catching, but it is a quiet and leisurely place. We arrived at 7 pm on the second day of the Chinese New Year, and it was already dark. The boss is a young man who drove an electric tricycle to wait at a road gate. He guided us to the reserved parking space at the homestay and carried the luggage to the guest room. I give him a thumbs up here. The room is a two-story loft-style building with a rooftop outside the loft. It faces north and south, with a wide view. To the south, you can see the tower of Hushan Park. I think if it is early summer or mid-autumn, reading, drinking tea or just closing your eyes on the rooftop will be a very pleasant existence. The guest room is not big, fully equipped, clean and hygienic, central air conditioning without floor heating, and slightly dry sleep. Korean-style bedroom, take off your shoes and sit on the floor when entering the inner room, pocket desk and trash can. The bedding was in the cupboard, and we slept on the floor. Except for the noise from the air conditioner, it was very quiet, which was rare for a mountaineer to stay temporarily. For breakfast, the boss prepared wontons and eggs, and after eating, we went up the mountain comfortably. We came back in the evening to pick up the car.
