Shimoda Hotels with Pools

Great hotel! I booked a room with a sea view and the views were simply stunning! I didn't close the curtains at night to wake up at dawn and admire the view. The room has delicious tea and snacks, comfortable pillows (if you like high ones, you can put two together and it will be super!). The hotel has a long history, so some of the solutions are a bit old. For example, the audibility between the rooms is high - you can hear the doors opening, the bathroom door slams loudly. A nice onsen with a bath, including one on the street. It was almost always busy, but one day I managed to be there alone. A very tasty varied breakfast - buffet. Very satisfying. There is a laundry, not the cheapest, but available. Few people used it. The pool was not working in winter. But you could go down the hill along the stairs from the hotel. Attention, climbing back or walking along the road is a powerful workout. I used the shuttle from the hotel to the station mostly, but one evening I was returning late and took a taxi from the station. It was 1040 yen, very affordable. But at least I didn't have to walk half an hour up an extremely steep mountain.

Hotel is right on the beach. Just have to walk down some steps to the beach. The back door closes at 10 pm which I did not like cause my wife and I were enjoying our time on the back patio drinking some wine but had to go back in hotel cause they lock the only door that let's you go down to the beach and the patio area. Didn't get breakfast or dinner because it didn't look to be worth the amount of money they were charging. Luckily we had our car and was able to drive and explore other food options in town. Customer service was excellent. The front counter Mr. Nguyen provided outstanding service. He even walked us and helped us carry our cooler down to the beach.

The location is right in front of the beach and it is the perfect place to stay if u are going to the Shirahama beach. Cleanliness is perfect too but I gave it 4/5 because the rooms are not soundproof. We can hear the footstep from the corridor and above room. The service is perfect too. There is a shuttle bus for the hotel and they let us in from 2:30pm although the actual check in time is 3pm. The staff will wait for u at the front door to give you towel when you come back from the beach. As for the amenities, they have massage services (need additional cost), pool, onsen and etc. But we didn’t use most of the, so don’t know about their quality. So I gave it 4/5.

The hotel I was most looking forward to and the one that surprised me the most during my trip to Japan! I saw the reviews saying that the food was good, and I wanted to try it, so I booked it in advance. When we arrived at the hotel, someone came to greet us and helped us with our luggage. We checked in and arranged for dinner. At first, I thought we would eat in the room, but I didn’t expect to eat in the restaurant, but it didn’t matter. The restaurant is a private room. When we arrived, the appetizers were already placed, and then someone came to serve us. I ate one dish after another until I was full. It’s too much! Who said that Japanese people eat less! And it’s really cost-effective, and the taste is also very good. It’s been 2 hours since we finished eating. The breakfast is also very rich, and the grilled fish is also delicious. It’s still very good to experience Japanese breakfast! We booked a tatami room. I thought I had to make the bed myself, but they helped me make it after dinner. The service was really thoughtful. However, I have to complain that the hot water in the bathroom was not hot enough. I just took a shower and went upstairs to take a hot spring bath (the public bathing water in the hot spring is better, and everyone can go upstairs to take a shower). I personally recommend everyone to take an open-air hot spring bath. It is really easy to lack oxygen in the indoor one. It is so comfortable to stare at the sea view in the morning! I will stay in this hotel again if I have the chance! ! ! Finally, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service. The timetable for going to the hotel is in the afternoon, and the time for going to Shimoda Station is in the morning. It seems that you need to make an appointment in advance, but it is still very convenient.

Izu Peninsula ~ The seaside hot springs under the cliffs are special, so you must choose a seaside hot spring hotel. It is the first time in your life to see the sea and soak in the hot springs. However, this hotel only costs 700 yuan for a ten-million-week stay and includes two meals. The two-week stay would have doubled, and it felt like it wasn’t worth it. Call or email the hotel for pick-up at the train station. From here, the distance between the two attractions in Izu and West Izu is moderate. The food is so-so

The service of the hotel is nothing to say, very good! The breakfast that comes with it is very rich, the front desk staff can also speak English, and they will provide station pick-up and drop-off services. The overall facilities are old, but very clean, and the scenery outside the room window is very beautiful!

The hotel is very nice, the room is very large and comfortable, facing the sea, there are large baths and open-air hot springs to soak. There are good free drinks on the first floor and the front desk service is very thoughtful. Although it is close to the road, it is not very noisy. There is a bus at the door, and walking across the road is the famous Jinmu Pavilion canteen. But Ctrip's hotel facilities description is problematic, the hotel does not have free pick-up, you have to walk from the train station or take a taxi by yourself.

I was kind at check-in and was able to spend with a warm feeling. I promised to come again with my friend at check-out, so please do it at that time! Thank you very much.

The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

The garden villa has several types of accommodation: rooms in the main residence with or without ocean view and independent apartments. We were in the standard hotel room on the side. The value for money was very interesting but the decor is outdated, the bathroom is an added cabin and it is a shame not to take full advantage of the balcony overlooking the water. To do it again, we would choose a better room or the apartment. The location is on a hill, close to Shiharama beach where surfers meet. A bus leaves the station (stop 9) and runs along the coast to Ito with a stop almost at the foot of the hotel, however pay attention to the timetable: approximately 1 bus/hour. The owners are adorable and do not hesitate to transport you if necessary, especially to and from Shimoda station (main access). The exterior is neat with an infinity pool, a small bar and above all 2 outdoor Onsen which we reserve (40 minutes between 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m./reservation per room so couple OK)).The latter, facing the ocean, are a real plus. A Barbecue/grill restaurant area was being renovated and should allow on-site catering. At the hotel, the breakfast is good but the hours were strict and restricted: 8 a.m.-8:30 a.m....perhaps because we were out of season? Free access to drinks such as coffee, tea, herbal teas, chocolate... In November, calm guaranteed! A rental car would be really nice.
