It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient."

"Beautiful place but a bit far from central location. Shimoda is a small quiet town and good for travellers who wants to relax and go on hiking around the area. This hotel is situated on a small hill slope and has a nice view of the sea. You can take their shuttle bus to train station to walk around their town central."

"The service of the hotel is nothing to say, very good! The breakfast that comes with it is very rich, the front desk staff can also speak English, and they will provide station pick-up and drop-off services. "The location is right in front of the beach and it is the perfect place to stay if u are going to the Shirahama beach.
Cleanliness is perfect too but I gave it 4/5 because the rooms are not soundproof. We can hear the footstep from the corridor and above room.
The service is perfect too. There is a shuttle bus for the hotel and they let us in from 2:30pm although the actual check in time is 3pm.
The staff will wait for u at the front door to give you towel when you come back from the beach.
As for the amenities, they have massage services (need additional cost), pool, onsen and etc. But we didn’t use most of the, so don’t know about their quality. So I gave it 4/5."

"A hotel that exceeded expectations. First of all, the location is very good. It is located at the cape closest to Ebisu Island. You can see the 360-degree Pacific Ocean from the room (private bath room). In terms of transportation, the hotel provides free shuttle buses to Kyushimoda Station in the morning and afternoon.
The hotel's dining is good. The dinner in the set meal includes wagyu, lobster, sashimi, sea bream, tempura and other dishes. The buffet breakfast also has mini portions of sashimi, which is more suitable for Chinese people's taste.
You can go snorkeling in the sea 50 meters away. The snorkeling level may exceed most of the conventional island hopping in Southeast Asia. The biological species are generally tropical. I was surprised to see large round manta rays and eagle rays, as well as regular tropical fish and conger eels. The overall visibility is 10-15 meters, and the water temperature is about 25 degrees. 1.5mm short-sleeved wet clothes are just right. In addition to snorkeling, children also have a lot of fun catching crabs.
The hot spring in the private bath room is on the balcony. Looking at the Pacific Ocean and soaking in the hot spring is a reserved project in Izu, and taking pictures is also above standard.
The hotel owner is a Chinese compatriot living in Japan. He has no problem communicating in Chinese and is very welcoming."

"Excellent location being just in front of the train station. Within walking distance to the main tourist attractions, and the bus station for buses going to the beach is just in front of the hotel. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores around. Mc Donald’s is just next door.
Room was spacious and clean. Well equipped with all the amenities required.
Staff were efficient, friendly and could speak basic English.
Breakfast served was basic but excellent.

"Because the hotel was built in the 1920s and renovated in the 1980s, the facilities are relatively old. If you mind, you can book other new hotels such as Tokyu. The room I stayed in was a room with an open-air hot spring. I listened to the sound of the waves while watching the sea and enjoyed the fun of the seaside hot spring. There is also a large sea view bathing area for you to soak in. Outside the hotel window is Shimoda Port, which is not far from Shimoda Station, about 900 meters. The bus runs about once an hour, which is not very convenient. If the luggage is not heavy, you can walk along the road by yourself. If the luggage is heavy, you can also take a taxi at the station entrance. Because when I went there, the hotel restaurant was closed and I had to go out to eat. Turn left and there is a supermarket and a local Yoshinoya 500 meters away. You can order food in Chinese using the machine. Turn right and you will go to the station and the town. The hotel can buy tickets for the port sightseeing boat, and take a boat to the port for a 20-minute tour. There are many places to eat in the town, but it is a bit difficult to communicate without Japanese. If the restaurant is open, it is best to order directly from the hotel."

I lie in the room for a day and listen to the sound of the waves for a day. But the room is super soundproof. The glass has two floors. Unless there is someone in the corridor, I have not encountered this situation. The booking time is soaking in private soup. Full of happiness, forty minutes is enough for everyone, Except for the inconvenient transportation, everything else is very good. Thanks to the front desk staff, who enthusiastically helped me, and took the initiative to drive me to the station on the return trip. Although our language is not very good, we have been communicating. It is very warm. If I have a chance to come to Shida next time, I think I will still choose this one.

When we arrived at the hotel, someone came to greet us and helped us with our luggage. We checked in and arranged for dinner. At first, I thought we would eat in the room, but I didn’t expect to eat in the restaurant, but it didn’t matter. The restaurant is a private room. When we arrived, the appetizers were already placed, and then someone came to serve us. I ate one dish after another until I was full. It’s too much! Who said that Japanese people eat less! And it’s really cost-effective, and the taste is also very good. It’s been 2 hours since we finished eating.
The breakfast is also very rich, and the grilled fish is also delicious. It’s still very good to experience Japanese breakfast!
We booked a tatami room. I thought I had to make the bed myself, but they helped me make it after dinner. The service was really thoughtful. However, I have to complain that the hot water in the bathroom was not hot enough. I just took a shower and went upstairs to take a hot spring bath (the public bathing water in the hot spring is better, and everyone can go upstairs to take a shower). I personally recommend everyone to take an open-air hot spring bath. It is really easy to lack oxygen in the indoor one. It is so comfortable to stare at the sea view in the morning! I will stay in this hotel again if I have the chance! ! ! Finally, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service. The timetable for going to the hotel is in the afternoon, and the time for going to Shimoda Station is in the morning. It seems that you need to make an appointment in advance, but it is still very convenient.

The shared bathroom turns out to be a private onsen which you can use for 30 mins/section , and if you booked a ryokan type, there’s a in-room toilet.
I would recommend for everyone who visit around izu area to stay here
The only weakness of this place is a little far from the station , but it’s really worth for the price ;-)

HHongIt is recommended to drive by car or chartered accommodation will be very convenient, otherwise there is a bus to Shita Station in the morning, and the bus has been taken three times.
