A hotel in Atagawa Onsen with a wonderful open-air bath with a superb ocean view.

"Very amazing, breakfast is simply too rich! There are almost no people in the hotel soup pool. It is a child who stays in this house and will ask for an extra charge, so if you bring a child, you must communicate with the hotel in advance. In short, the accommodation environment is really good, all-Japanese style, a deep night! Ctrip.com is still very powerful, and I am very satisfied with the after-sales 👍!"

Considering the price, especially compared to other private onsen (hot spring) options in Izu, getting two private baths – one indoor and one outdoor – is incredible! Plus, there's a little courtyard with koi fish and a free breakfast! You can even send postcards home for free! The lobby has seeds from the seasonal plants in their garden, some small crafts for sale, and a little bookshelf. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, there's a small stream lined with maple trees, which I imagine would be beautiful in autumn. It feels very lived-in, like staying in an old house from a classic Japanese drama. The building is old, but everything is spotlessly clean and tidy. The lobby doesn't have air conditioning, so it was quite hot from the entrance all the way to the room, and there were huge mosquitoes. AC is only in the rooms, and they provided an extra fan, which kept things pretty cool. If you open other doors in the room, it can cool down the adjacent room a bit (but not much). Most of the time, you can sit in front of the garden, zone out, and feed the fish. It's a bit of a walk to the station and convenience store, but over my two days there, I found the scenery along the way quite nice. Rural Japan isn't as convenient as commercial centers, offering a quiet, peaceful kind of inconvenience (said playfully, of course). Oh, and there was a large spider in the room. I tried to shoo it out but couldn't, so I called a staff member who kindly removed it for me. Also, remember to turn off the lights if you're not using the bathroom or the outdoor private bath, as outdoor lights attract a lot of bugs. Overall, it was great, and I'd definitely come back.

This is a bit worn out and simple hotel. The best things were the extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as the super delicious dinner & breakfast that was included in the price. I ate maybe the most delicious croissant ever here. The variety and the quality of food was great. Things to improve are  the facilities, especially the onsen. It’s very small but more importantly, it wasn’t well maintained and there was no emergency button. When my mom felt like fainting, it wasn’t possible to call for help.  Also the air conditioner in the room was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. All in all, good stay.

The best accommodation experience for this trip to the east and west coasts of central Japan. Japanese-style rooms, tatami mats, large space, quiet, nice views from the window, a rich breakfast buffet, two kinds of raw fish taste good, hot springs are refreshing, and free noodle soup at night. Free pick-up and drop-off at the station.

This is the only large onsen hotel in Matsuzaki, Izu. The decor is rather old, and all rooms have balconies facing the sea. Cleanliness is average; there's a lot of dust, especially around the air conditioning vents, which are covered in dust and can't be turned on. The buffet has a limited selection and average quality, but it offers unlimited drinks, including beer, sake, shochu, and wine, which is quite rare. The large public bath is indoors and not very big; there's no outdoor onsen. There's a ping-pong and snooker area on the rooftop.

This was my first solo trip to Japan, and it was a spontaneous decision. Due to my procrastination, I only started booking accommodations two days in advance. Hotels near Izu Kogen and Atami were all booked, so I booked this place. But once I arrived, I felt incredibly comfortable. The hotel is in a very quiet location with beautiful scenery. The hotel facilities are also very new, and the staff are all incredibly warm and welcoming. There were Chinese ladies, as well as Japanese gentlemen and ladies. They were very polite, not in a distant or aloof way, but in a sunny, cheerful, and warm manner. Dinner was also delicious, with lobster, abalone, and many different ways of preparing golden snapper – it was all so fresh! In the morning, a soak in the hot spring is all it takes to head to Izu Kogen. I really, really want to come back here again. Personally, I don't want too many people to discover this wonderful hotel, as I'm worried I won't be able to book it later, but I still really hope they continue to improve.

There is no bathroom in the room. I have to go to the big bath. The hotel has a shuttle bus, but I need to book. Otherwise, it is all a large angle slope. I will go **. I need to change slippers in and out of the hotel. It is more troublesome. The hot water of the faucet is limited. It will burn after use.

Booked a room type with an open-air wind (think it is half-open-air?), the room is a traditional tatami containing two bed specifications, the room is very large and comfortable. The meal is a semi-buffet dinner (including hot pot, salted abalone) and buffet breakfast (including Japanese, Western options, but mainly Japanese, grilled fish, pickles). It is mentioned that there was a little episode. I originally booked a room type without meals and no wind on other websites. After booking the current combination here, I cancelled the reservation there. But when I arrived, I arranged a room type without wind. The first time I was so grateful to a Chinese-speaking hotel staff, because the other front desk staff was older and did not speak English at all. After several communication, I changed to the room type I expected and got a very satisfying and comfortable stay. Because the room type has a wind, there is no use of the other loan cut wind, and the large bathing area that can be used in the museum. Can't share the experience. Also note that I rent a car to drive there, this is not a road with Shihua Haibenguan, but not very eye-catching, if you can't see the car, see Shihuahai Gate in front of the welcome staff can explain to him.
