Owner and staff took good care of guests. Quiet, peaceful place and walking distance to historical park.

Arriving at the Smilingface Guesthouse in Sukhothai, I looked at the room before checking in. The smell was pungent. Apparently it had just been renovated and there was no way it could be accommodated. The front desk also said that this room has just been renovated and will only open today. We asked for a refund, but the hotel said it was a non-cancellable reservation and would not allow a refund. What is the logic of selling your hotel rooms online if they are not up to standard, harming the health of customers, and not being able to provide refunds! Is this the Smiling Face Hotel or the Smiling Hotel? Is it the will of the Buddha to make unconscionable money without giving a refund? The Buddha knew about it, but he didn’t agree!

Will continue to book next time I go to Sukhothai!

The boss is very nice. The room is big and new, the breakfast is delicious, there are free bicycles, and you can get snacks during the day. The boss explained the information and features of each attraction in great detail. It was a great stay👍

The hotel is very close to the historical park, the market convenience store, the restaurant is nearby, the old man is approachable, and even compiled a map for the guests to use. He is very careful, and there are free bicycles available. I will definitely book again next time I come to Sukhothai

Очень понравилось прибывание. В номере было чисто, у нас был номер в японском стиле, если так можно сказать: матрасы на полу, стойка для одежды, стол. Окна без стекла, с дверцами, это интересная деталь. Места общего пользования очень чистые. Завтрак хороший на веранде. Хозяйка и дети, которые живут в доме, очень приятные люди.

位置很好，去公園很方便，房間也很乾凈，員工服務都很不錯，房間比較大，早餐多選一，總有一款滿足你，而且量也還可以，反正麪包可以無限取。

入住的時候遇到了找不到訂單，馬上聯繫攜程一會就解決了問題，服務太好了，老闆也非常nice

Pros: 1. Location: 2 mins to the main road. 7 mins to the historical park. There are 711 and many restaurants around. 2. Our room is newly renovated: Modern, Spacious, get separation of shower and toilet , get a 55 inch big smart TV. 3. Breakfast: Freshly cook everyday. 4. Service: friendly and helpful. Cons: 1. More lighting is needed for the room. 2. Sometimes it is quite difficult to distinguish who's the staff of the guesthouse, and staff is not always avaliable. 3. I booked a taxi to the airport through the guesthouse and it is quite pricy (1000 baht). Call a grab instead.

This was an exceptionally pleasant family-run guesthouse. I felt welcomed well before I even arrived, with patient answers to my endless questions. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was quite sizeable, bed was comfortable and sleep was no trouble (admittedly, a full day cycling around Sukhothai probably helped). Breakfast was very nice, and they even arranged me a take-away for my early start to get my flight. Plenty of complementary tea/coffee and snacks were available 24/7. Free bikes available to guests were a nice touch. I would absolutely return to Smilingface in the future; thank you Kwan for an excellent stay!

Absolutely beautiful place. Kwan and the family make sure you are at home with everything you need. Very welcoming. Breakfast is great. Beautiful room. A absolute pleasure to stay here and be a part of true Thailand.

Amazing service and really friendly people, we played loads of games with the children who live there. It is in a great location and is only a couple of streets away from the historical gardens. There is also loads of bike tours in the area and lots of restaurants.

We had a most delightful experience at smiling face guest house. It is a fabulous location, couple of minutes to local market and then out front of market to some extremely good restaurants. The hosting family are so very lovely and helpful. We were given a map on arrival and explained a bit about what to see in Sukhothai. Guest house has free bikes for guest use, so off we went to the historical park, awesome, but best on a bike, not a walk, too much to see. Anyway back to smiling face, the room was spotless and the vibe was friendly and comfy. We had a really positive experience and I would recommend anyone to stay here and see the wonders of Sukhothai. Don’t miss weekend night market!
