"The location is close to Kawaguchiko station. About 15-20min walk in a quiet neighborhood. "A relatively satisfactory stay. The hotel is a small villa with Mount Fuji view from every room. The owner is very nice and introduced the usage of various facilities one by one. Free shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station and nearby supermarkets is also provided. The only drawback is that the nearest convenience store is a little far away, about 15 minutes walk, and there is no floor heating on the second floor. The temperature has dropped sharply in the past few days, and it snowed. The room is not particularly warm, but it is not cold either. A set of ordinary pajamas is enough."

"It was a new experience for us to stay at this hotel since we were on a road trip without a dog. It’s a bit secluded like most of the hotels in this area. We arrived around 8pm in the evening so all restaurants were closed already. The hotel restaurant kitchen was closed too so luckily we could buy some cup noodles inside their hotel store. The hotel is a paradise for dogs with all the nature around."

"You can tell from the moment you enter the house that it has been carefully decorated. The hotel is quiet and functional. It has a restaurant, a lounge, and two great private baths. It is super comfortable and there is also a private bath in the room.
The most important thing is: the transportation in Mount Fuji is actually very underdeveloped, and the various lines are very unfriendly to foreign tourists. When we were about to check out, the lady at the front desk thoughtfully wrote down the train schedule for the destination we were going to, and also The price and time are included. The service is really good. He also understands English. I hope more tourists can discover this small but beautiful hotel."

"Kawaguchiko Station Inn
Convenient location right opposite the station
No lift in building, but the building is only 4 storeys high.
Tatami bedding is soft and comfortable, room is warm and clean. And very spacious - enough for 3 and 2 big luggage and still space to move about. Kettle and water pitcher provided. Yukata, towel and toothbrush provided.
Onsen was great - went multiple times and was always almost empty, perhaps everyone was shy. Otherwise individual cbathing cubicles are also available, though only 2.
Toilets are separate, common one on every floor. Same, never saw anyone else at the same time nor had to wait, perhaps everyone is out most of the time.
Best part of the rooms is the view… 🤩
Tldr: very convenient location with spacious warm rooms, great views and free onsen."

Outstanding
GGuest UserMy friends and I intended to come here to see the stars, but unfortunately, on the day we came, we could only see a little bit of the stars because it was cloudy that night, so it wasn't very clear. But it's okay... because we like this place very much.
The atmosphere here is very refreshing... in the middle of a valley. Surrounded by mountains, near a lake... suitable for people who like hiking and nature...
If you like hiking, nature, being close to nature, if you like waking up in the middle of a valley with a good atmosphere, I recommend this place. The owner of the house is kind and lovely. There are all services. If you don't have a car... this place provides a car service.
WWorld_WandererNice little photo spots around inside hostel (heater nearby), experience corner allows you to try Kimono (free to try inside hostel, chargeable if you want to wear out), and do some little craft. They sell handmade stuff too.
There’s a normal kitchen table you can use, and little lockers (with key) if you want to deposit small items near the reception.
Washer and dryer are each available for use at a fixed charge (300 yen each, Jan 2025).
Japanese style bath house available.
Last photo shows the 5 steps to lay the bedding in the room. Decent space and aircon is warm enough for winter period; though there’s no floor heating, they have a table with cloth around that you can use to keep your feet warm.
Amenities is 4/5 because they don’t allow you to use the shower for free after check out, but they still allow the use of kitchen, and toilet after check out.
Luggage deposit before check in and after check out is free as of Jan 2025.
PPiizZI had an amazing experience staying at this place! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making check-in smooth and easy. The room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making me feel right at home.
One of the things I appreciated most was the attention to detail – from the comfortable bed and quality amenities to the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and local attractions.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would definitely come back again. Thank you for such a warm and memorable experience!
JJin-chanHad a really great time staying here with friends. Very close to Lake Kawaguchi with a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji, if weather is ok, from Oo-Ishi Park. Some quaint cafes and restaurants are located within the park. The accommodation also has some kitchen utensils which are very convenient if you are planning to cook for dinner or breakfast. Would definitely book this cottage again if I am planning to stay again in the area with friends.

Everything here has been an amazing experience.
I’ve had the chance to meet many international friends,
exchanging and experiencing different cultures in our exploration of Japan.
The staff feel like brothers and sisters —
they help with everything, big or small.
It feels like we’re all living together as one big family.
Before 5 a.m., everyone wakes up to head out for the sunrise.
We go out to capture the sunrise over Mt. Fuji.
When we return, we share the highlights of our day.
This place is filled with the warmth of a real home.
Looking forward to coming back next time.
I’m the friend from Taiwan who shared some little things with you.
I hope you enjoy the small keychains that represent life in Taiwan.
Taiwan welcomes you!
GGuest UserThe location is very remote, a distance from Kawaguchiko Station. You can make an appointment for the pick-up station, but because I didn't look carefully, it took me more than 20 minutes to walk there. There is no private bathroom in the room, so you have to go to another building to take a shower, so the hygiene is very average. The Wi-Fi signal in the room is really terrible. I really suggest that the merchant install two more routers. The mobile phone is stuck in Kawaguchiko and only has 4G, which is terrible. You need to rely on luck to come to Mount Fuji. It is better to come on a sunny day. Another thing is that there seem to be only three or four charging plugs in the whole house. You have to leave one for the refrigerator and one for the air conditioner. The rest can be used to charge mobile phones, but they are far away from the bed.
AanastasiiaA beautiful traditional house with lovely owners. However, the map shows the location of the owners' house, not the one you will be staying in. Your house will be higher up in the mountains, 10 minutes from the location shown on the website. The house was missing some amenities: towels, a knife. The house was very cold, but there were warm blankets and plenty of heaters that cannot be left overnight. I would recommend staying here in the warmer months, and if you are prepared to walk uphill. The nearest store is by the lake, it is disorganized, there is not much choice. Better to buy in advance on the way
AAnonymous UserThis is the best hotel in Lake Shoji. We had a view of Mt. Fuji right from our window—absolutely stunning. It was the best morning view I’ve ever experienced.
For getting to the hotel, we recommend driving. It’s very convenient, and you’ll enjoy breathtaking scenery along the way.
The room was very clean and spacious—perfect for couples. The staff were incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome.
We loved everything about this hotel and will definitely be back! ❤️
GGuest UserThe room is very big, and it will be no problem for 4 people. We stayed in Room 214, and there was Mount Fuji outside the window. It was a little far from Kawaguchiko Station, about a 10-minute walk? But no problem, it’s nice to take a look at each house’s yard along the way ~ You can also pass by the Initial D internet celebrity check-in point ~ The hotel is on the 2nd floor. It’s a little inconvenient to bring luggage. You have to go upstairs to enter 214. It’s suitable for those who haven’t yet. Buy, buy, buy suitcases~ Registration is all self-service. You can’t find information before 3 o’clock. We arrived 10 minutes early and we can get there as soon as we arrive. The bathroom is public and very clean, so don't worry. The open-air bath we went out for did not take up any resources. The most important thing is that it’s cheap, clean, and big!
EEmmanuel chan 8One of the characteristics of a traditional hot spring hotel is that the shower time is from 4 to 9 o'clock. If you don't pay attention, it will be awkward.
Among other things, the food is quite good and relatively average, but it is more difficult to communicate.
The hotel is relatively remote and there is no shuttle, but it is probably one of the hotels closest to Lake Kawaguchi. You can walk to Lake Kawaguchi in 3 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and you can see Mount Fuji directly.

He has special red slippers, they are so special
There is a convenience store across the road, how convenient is it?
If you have a car, there will be no problem. If you don’t have a car, there will be some inconvenience.
