Stayed for 2 night in our motor home. Amazing venue, great restaurant and bar food was large plates , Had fillet steak just cooked to perfection, night 2 had chicken curry , you need to be hungry portions were good .Will definitely revisit .

My wife and I stayed for bed, breakfast and evening meal, and we were well and truly wowed with the whole experience. We stayed in the Cygnet room in the Swan block, and our room was absolutely lovely. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water, crisps were all provided. The bathroom had a beautiful, big walk in shower, toiletries were all provided. The towels were large and fluffy, very luxurious. Both our evening meal and our breakfast were superb, and the service was first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn't fault a single thing. Thanks to all the staff, we will definitely be returning.

We visited and had some food before the comedy night. We ordered two chicken burgers and a dirty burger. The dirty burger was just a cheese and bacon burger, but extremely dry and really lacking any nice flavour. My order came with no salad on which was not requested. Similarly, the chicken burgers lacked seasoning and were also extremely dry. So we were rather disappointed! The chicken and chorizo pasta was beautiful, the whole table wished we had ordered this. Bruno served us throughout the night, brilliant service, very attentive and friendly. The comedy night was fab!

From the moment we walked into this venue, the staff are absolutely on point We arrived and were shown to our seat's The location is stunning, and as soon as we were seated, Natalie who we must give a mention was attentive, professional and funny she absolutely made our day, many thanks Natlie The afternoon tea arrived there was so much on one of the mini park benches I said thankyou this looks stunning She responded, "That's your wife's your's is coming next I can only say wow Tea and coffee was plentiful But the food was beautiful We do afternoon tea in many locations We truly can't recommend this high enough It truly is a 10 out of 10 For everything Finally I've got to say again the staff Are absolutely brilliant Many thanks to you all for making this a superb day

This was our 4th time at the south causey and still as lovely as the 1st time. Me and my husband try to come for special occasions as it can be a little pricey depending on what you are wanting however well worth the money in our eyes but this year we were given a voucher for Xmas for the courtyard room which we redeemed for valentines. No matter what room we have had we have loved each one and their own individual deco. From the start of our visit to the end no complaints. All the staff were lovely mention to Libby and Carlos in the bar for their lovely service throughout our afternoon/night. Loving the new layout in the bar area too. Can’t wait to go back closer to the summer where we can go to the outside bar for a drink too. Food was lovely large portions may I add, We even managed to leave our personalised lock on the fence they have created towards the side of the hotel on our departure. Joel, you made the night. Welcoming and treating everyone kindly. This was a birthday celebration in Pod 3. Joel gave a lot of time whilst we decided our meals, popping back for drinks and having a laugh with us too. The food, a large variety all arrived together and it was very tasty, nothing wasted at all! Food cooked very well, the presentation of the pod was excellent, lovely decorations and styling and relatively warm considering it's January! If you can, book a pod, make it an evening (or night) worth remembering. And ask for Joel, he's great!

Stayed overnight for our wedding anniversary and the staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for you. Ate at the restaurant and was served by Erin, very friendly and helpful, helped us with recommendations when I couldn't decide what to order. Food was lovely, very filling and our room - causey cottage was lovely and clean and very comfy.

Fantastic stay in the Den combined with a table for 21 at the Shaftoe's restuarant! Staff and service were nothing short of exceptional. Food and drinks served extremely efficiently and in very good time. The accommodation was perfect for a family get together and the welcome chocolate board was the cherry on the cake (along with the 16 candles). A wonderful memory for the whole family. We cannot thank you enough!

wow what can i say about this place. was lucky enough to be invited to attend the wedding off Becca & Allan's wedding and the place was superb the staff go above and beyond to make you feel so welcome our room was lovely to would definatly recomend this place

Stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children aged 10 and 8) for a wedding. We stayed in number42 courtyard suite and upon entering the suite we were stunned by not only the size but the style of the room as well it was just beautiful with a rustic farmhouse feeling. The beds for the girls considering my eldest is 5ft 4 were perfect and comfortable, they had a great nights sleep as did we in our large comfortable bed. Loved the fact they we could draw curtains to separate the rooms to provide privacy and give them their own space when needed. The suite had all the amenities we needed for our short stay, the robes and especially the slippers were a welcomed bonus especially after wearing heals all day. The bathroom was a generous size and it was spotlessly clean throughout, there was only a shower attachment on the bath only but that didn’t bother us. We had a nice little courtyard where we were able to sit and relax and play cards at the end of the evening. The site was beautiful and the animal corner was an added extra for the children and they had plenty of fun with the friendly animals and spending time out on the open grassed area. All the staff we interacted with throughout the whole stay were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much bother. We honestly didn’t want to leave and will definitely return again.

The new seating inn the bar area is terrible. Two people sit at a table for six or eight people you cannot see anything with the high seat a really bad choice from management. Has reduced the eating area in bar now and has no atmosphere

Fantastic staff!!! Me and my friend went for lunch and when we went to pay chatted with josh on reception. He said how nice we look and I told him we were celebrating my friend finishing her radiotherapy. He payed ( out of his own money ) for my friends meal and would not take no for an answer. What a lovely lovely man he is and even if this had not been done we will be back soon as the food is delicious. Thank you josh x

A wonderful stay at The South Causey. We got a free room upgrade with it being our anniversary and the room was clean and tidy. The evening food was lovely and it was big portions. We got breakfast and that did not disappoint either. A good selection of food and the croissants were a lovely touch. Hats off to Sue who served us for our evening meal and our breakfast, she went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be. We will definitely be back.

Really lovely food, staff and atmosphere - Luke and Bruno were really friendly and helpful!! Will definitely be coming back with family and friends. Would be lovely in the summer to sit outside The portions were really generous and the deserts were lovely
