CClaireKI recently had the pleasure of staying at Donatela Resort and Spa in Panglao, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service that made me feel like a valued guest.
The accommodations are nothing short of spectacular. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for. The attention to detail was evident, from the comfortable bedding to the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
What truly sets Donatela apart is its peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I found myself relaxing by the pool, enjoying the lush gardens, and soaking in the tranquility that surrounded me.

SSpectRe44Surely it’s very nice 5 star hotel, but still one thing you need to consider before booking. The beach is sandy and zones nearby are quite comfortable to stay in and have a rest on the shore. But if you’re snorkeling fan - not a good option for you. On the photo you can see what happens on low tide. Surely you need to wear coral boots (mandatory!!!) and walk a long distance before reaching point where you can swim and snorkel. Still famous aero plane wreckage can be easily accessed and seen underwater. Coral bottom of the sea quite poor on this beach. But you can see a lot of different starfishes.

Beach front is a bit small and beach is not that clean tho. But would still recommend this hotel. We went here during the typhoon season in Manila so our flight was changed. Staffs are kind enough to allow us to do early check in and late check out.
They have bfast buffet and what I love is they change the menu daily. We just hope there are more shuttle service time slots going to the main city so that it will lessen the transpo expenses.

GGuest UserIn general, everything corresponds to the photo, but there are nuances.
It’s not clear from the photo, but in fact there is catastrophically little light both during the day (a small window!, and in the evening there is not enough artificial light. This gives the feeling that you are in some kind of basement.
Comfort - everything seems to be there, but personally I missed a lot of little things that create comfort.
For example, in the bathroom there is no place where you can put bath accessories, in the shower area there is a small soap dish, and in the sink area there are no shelves or anything like that. There are a lot of sockets, but the chargers dangle in them, so you have to constantly check whether the charge is on or not. There is no breakfast even for an additional fee. Things can only be hung on a hanger along the wall, i.e. they will all be on top of each other. The best smell! A very chemical smell that makes it impossible to stay in the room. The employees were never able to explain where it came from, citing that it was hot and therefore (but it’s not Russia, so it’s cold in February, it’s always hot there, so this explanation is much strange), the second version is treatment for mosquitoes (it’s more like the truth, but the staff couldn’t answer how safe it was to breathe it), I was simply offered to imitate the air freshener). I think it’s still the poor quality of the materials and in the heat that’s why it starts to smell so bad.
The hotel has its advantages: each house has its own terrace, a large courtyard with lots of greenery, pleasant staff.

The restaurant has tasty drinks and friendly staff. We enjoyed all our meals at the hotel because there aren’t any other options nearby.
The pool was perfect for a quick dip. You could walk down to the ocean from the hotel of you’d like.

AAbegail LabasanGood thing here is it is walking distance to alona beach. Restaand food stall are all around the corners. It is also near the road and location is easily to be navigated.

The hotel has reading area, and their mini bar is nice.
Their staff are accomodating and nice.
Only cons: there are a lot of mosquitoes! Make sure to close the window in the comfort room or your room in general.

MMaria PlsVery good for that price for those who is not looking for a much comfort. Room was too dark for us with lack of day light. Light switches were dirty - this is simply to avoid by the hotel and experience will be better. Clean bed, towels and a fridge as a plus. Very tasty dishes in their restaurant on a good price, we really liked it (grilled shrimps and a fish) compared to other we tried. The reception is very polite and attentive. The nearest way to the beach is 10 minutes but at the end there is a resort which will charge 100 p entry per person to a beach, as a plus you can use their wc and change rooms and showers. From this beach you can go to any part of the beach line and enjoy.

EElizaveta VThe hotel is located in an isolated place, so it is very convenient to rent a bike or a tricycle to get to the town or to the nearest restaurant. There is a small private beach, but there are a lot of plants and a lot of boats. I loved the service - you can call the massage or manicure master, grab a drink at the beach bar, lie down near the beach and enjoy the service. They also provided me a bike rent with delivery. The room is in zebra style - very nice and comfy. The only thing I disliked - the room is very small, it is basically tiny, though it had a terrace which a view of the hotel stairs which I found useless.

BBrandleeHotel is nice from the website. Not much difference from the actual. Facilities is considered quite new. Staff and reception is very nice and polite. The rooms comes with free breakfast which is quite a nice thought. Food wise it's OK not fussy though it could be better. The location is quite a bit away from the buzz but you get the peace you looking for. There's few good eateries close-by to explore. Overall will recommend this hotel. Only issue is their Internet connection in the room is very bad. It's literally off all the time and if you are someone who wants to be connected throughout the facilities then not recommended. But if you ok without the Internet, it's actually nice place to stay. The best thing is the pool access where it's so easy to just get into the pool right from your room!
