Spa Hotels in Kumamoto

Stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The room was clean and easy to spend. There is a tatami mats, so you can go go go. The bed is a bit hard, but it is not difficult to sleep. The open-air bath can hear the sound of the car because it is all over the city, but there is a cherry blossom and it is not visible from the surroundings, and the curtain for completely blocking is also installed, so if you are concerned, you can use it. The water was clean and easy to use. The outlet is hardly close to the floor, under the TV, under the bed, the bathroom and the air cleaner. If the charging cable is short, the tablet will be charged at the bed. If the charging cable is long, you can extend it from the TV and put the tablet on the tatami mats to charge. It was because it was a room near the coin laundry on the 3 floor, and I heard the sound of the washing machine. However, I was able to spend it without worrying about it. It is also convenient that the next door is seven eleven. I didn't use breakfast buffet because of corona. The hotel receptionist is a sister in a T-shirt, and there is no atmosphere called ”Hotel Man”, but I was able to check in and check out smoothly, and there is no rudeness. It was a very good hotel with location, newness and cleanliness.

Very central location, which means the hotel is close to many amenities and great for a late night snack. There is no attached carpark to the hotel, but the nearby multistory carpark helps to serve all the nearby hotels. Bring the carpark coupon to the hotel concierge to validate the coupon and you can get a daily carpark charge of 1300 yen. Hotel also has a rooftop onsen, which was a great way to kickstart our Fukuoka trip!

Great value for what we have paid for. Efficient check-in process. High quality public bath facilities with two hot hot springs (one indoor and one outdoor), one sauna and one cold water pool. Although this hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel, we would say it is much better than many 4-star hotels in many regards. The employees at the check-in desk speak decent English too.

The good thing is that the transportation is convenient. Buses to/from the station stop right in front, and a tram stop a short distance away. It's far from the downtown area, but it's not impossible to walk. It is even more convenient if you use the bus streetcar. There are few shops around, but there is a good Japanese restaurant within walking distance. The room is small and it is difficult to arrange luggage. Just scaffolding around the bed. The desk can be folded (so narrow) that the bag can be opened in a small hallway space leading to the entrance. The public bath is normal for this type of business hotel, more comfortable than a unit bath, but not as good as a hot spring inn. The parking lot is a three-dimensional building. It is OK without getting wet even in the rain. There is no manager at night, so you can't get in and out of your car or take your luggage in and out. If you are having trouble with that, you will be introduced to a nearby parking lot.

The hotel environment is very good and you can see a beautiful sunset. The hot spring is great. The hotel has its own free hot spring next to it, and hotel guests can enjoy a half-price discount. The breakfast is Japanese and satisfactory. Although the hotel is relatively old, the overall hygiene is still clean. The cleaners are really serious and our belongings are neatly arranged. Suitable for self-driving. Although it is outside the city, there are buses at the main road entrance of the hotel that go directly to Kumamoto Station and the North Kumamoto Small Train Station. You can call a taxi for 2,000 yen to the nearby JR station to Aso Volcano, which is closer than the city. There are several Japanese restaurants in the hotel, which are a little expensive, and the fast food nearby is cheap and good.
