As seasoned travelers thru Italy, we have stayed in different hotels. This small, renovated hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located at the edge of Siena within 7 minutes drive to Historical Siena, and easy access to highways to drive thru Tuscan towns, this was perfect. Hotel has exceptional staff who are are kind, polite and do everything to keep the guests feel at home.. Cleaness of this hotel was simply beyond and above our expectations. Breakfast was really good with fresh pastries, Pecorino cheese, Prouscheto, eggs, and fresh fruits. Planty of parking was available to hotel guests. We also want to praise a lady ( Comasia)at the front desk who sometimes would come and checked the things in breakfast room as well. Her attitude towards guests ,her mannerism and kindness was exceptional. We had a very enjoyable and positive experience.

The hotel is just outside the Porta Romana of Siena, and we choose it because it was more convenient, since we arrived by car, and it is not allowed to park inside the gates of the historic part of the city. Overall, the hotel was very good. You could see that the rooms were recently renovated and everything was new. We just didn’t like the fact that, in our room, the beds were in a kind of second floor, and the bathroom was under it, so we had to go up and down the stairs all the time. Also, during the breakfast, the staff serves your food, and I believe it would be easier if they just let the guests take their own food, because, at times, it formed a big line waiting to be served.

The location of the hotel is good, very convenient, the rooms are very big, we live on the top floor, the facilities are complete, we go out every day so it is useless, but there is no direct elevator, it is not convenient to climb the stairs to carry luggage

LL EWe stayed at the Certosa with a group of friends, and we loved this hotel. It is a unique property, previously being a monastery, with beautiful grounds and pool area. The rooms are spacious, and clean, but not modern luxury. The breakfast is wonderful. The menu on the restaurant is quite progressive and high end, but they also made us dishes that we requested if there was nothing to suit us. I loved the location, being a little outside of Siena, as it provided a nice calm reprieve, and you are right in the hills of Tuscany. I was unsure if it was walkable to Siena, and found that it was an easy 15 minute walk into Siena, that we took each day during daylight. We also had no issues calling cabs, or having cabs drop us off at the hotel in the evening hours, as the roads are too narrow to walk on safely after dark. There are limited hotels with pools in the area, which is why we chose this hotel. But, the location, and overall feel of the hotel were even better than I hoped. Siena was a highlight of the trip to Italy, which included Rome, Florence, Pisa and Cinque Terra. And, if you are going to visit, I would highly recommend staying here. We would go back in a heartbeat.

LLakesidaofuailinuoThe advantage here is that it is very convenient to walk 14 minutes from the train station. It is acceptable to walk to the old town of Siena for 20 minutes. The price is beautiful and very moving now. The environment is superb. I saw the deer in the garden in the morning. The manager proudly introduced that four deer babies were born this year. Instantly, I feel that this place is outstanding, especially suitable for creativity, works, and results. Every morning, the window is opened, and the fresh air on the hillside is poured into the room. People have a clear mind, inspiration, and a new look. It is a good choice for a temporary stay away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast at 8 o'clock, not self-service, you need to tell the manager what to eat one day in advance, they are ready, every day when they enter the restaurant, they see the breakfast neatly placed on the table, and the service is in place. The restaurant wall is a trekking pole handmade by the manager uncle, each of which is made into a small animal image according to the natural shape of the branches, and the eyes are painted, which is very flexible. It is very popular. It is said that many people buy it. The layout, furniture and facilities in the room are all strong Italian style, some retro atmosphere, old objects are very reassuring. Safety and health, no worries. The temperature in Italy in December looked more than a dozen degrees, but it still felt wet and cold outside the rain, the room was heated, the ground was warm, and I could walk barefoot. I have received many Chinese tourists here. The manager has been studying the main different habits and preferences of people in different provinces in China, but found that China has a large number of people. She has not understood it. Haha is so cute. Language is not a barrier, what really makes people communicate smoothly is a heart, I feel it here. I hope I can come and live for a while next time.

GGuest UserIt was a wonderful stay. Pros: * The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views * Breakfast was good, plenty of options but till 10am on weekdays. And they really start taking away all the food at 10am. * Right in the center of the city, you can walk anywhere * They keep your suitcases after checkout. I asked them if I can come back for them later that day, and they were nice and kept them. Cons *No coffee machine in room. They do have a fridge though. *No iron in room but they do have an ironing room *No parking, but down the street there is free parking, a 8 min walk. I easily found a parking at 10.30pm

My colleague and I spent 11 days in Siena, partly a professional conference and partly fun. This hidden gem B&B was only a few minutes’ walk from either historical sites in the center or the university. The two-room setup (plus private bath) provided each of us with a large comfortable bed that would easily have accommodated a couple. If we had been a larger group, there is also a full-sized pull-out bed in the living room couch. Our hosts were warm, charming, and generous. On request, they immediately provided an additional table for our books, papers, and lap-tops; also an iron for our professional clothes; and access to the breakfast-room refrigerator for my special dietary needs. We loved that the building was five centuries old (marble floors, tall windows, brick walls, high ceilings, frescoes), but with modern conveniences. The view across fields and gardens to a distant palazzo was breathtaking. Glorious sunup and sunset. Ample breakfast was also available for a small additional charge.
