The room they gave us was on a floor that was undergoing maintenance, they made noise from repairs early and it was very annoying. The view that we had was towards some tennis courts and a rather neglected apartment building, which does not belong to the hotel, which greatly detracted from our experience. The furniture in the room in general is old, before there were utensils in the small kitchen, now there is nothing, they even removed the refrigerator, they only left the microwave. The wifi was too slow, they did not load social networks, the cleaning was regular since they did not sweep the room, they only limited themselves to making the bed. The service in the pools is sooooo slow, they have few waiters despite it being high season, and the sheets that cover the pool beds are worn and old. The pool towel service gives you one per day per person, and you cannot ask to have it changed for a dry one, you will have to keep the same one until the next day. The positive was the proximity and excellent location right in the center of the bay of Acapulco, opposite there is a shopping center with restaurants and shops. A few steps away a souvenir and handicraft market. And if you want to order food or any service through apps, it arrives at the hotel entrance in minutes. The pools are fine, although they could improve their cleanliness, since the water looks quite cloudy, especially in the adult pool, which is a great advantage if you are not traveling with children and want to relax.

AZUL restaurant! A lovely Mexican cuisine experience in beautiful Acapulco in Iconic Princess Mundo Imperial, I have tried some few dishes of them (Pescadillas, Mole, torta de coco) and almost all of them taste delicious! They have various Mexican food in menu and their bar of alcoholic and non alcohol drink is pretty much complete for different tastes. I appreciate help of Jorge Jimenez In Azul restaurant, he was helping me carefully with my food choice and he recommended me a very tasty drink (mixed of orange and pineapple), which I ordered 2 more! All other staff are pretty professional and kind and it’s easy to understand that you won’t leave the restaurant unhappy. Thank you very much!

Encantó Hotel was everything and more! I could not recommend this hotel enough. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to relax and disconnect and we definitely came to the right place.. The facilities are so beautiful and architecturally so well thought out and designed. The pool and lounge beds are so comfortable and where we spent most of the day. The staff at breakfast, the pool and restaurant for dinner were so professional, attentive and kind. Jose Miguel at the pool provided some of the best service I’ve had since moving to Mexico…. The views from the rooms and especially from the spa are breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back for another trip to Encanto.

It's a hotel that I have visited for years and always ah looked excellent but this time for other reasons I couldn't stay there but I needed to go to dinner to your restaurant because the taste is very rich and home-friendly so we go to the hotel And for our luck we were allowed to enter the restaurant alone and the truth that the taste remains the same !! All very rich with good quality ingredients and fairly cheap prices thank you for everything and I hope to visit them soon ♥️

GGuest UserThe building has an intriguing shape and there are many pools. It’s also right in La Condesa Beach. Ideal location, you would think. BUT…. 1. After checking in, I found a very dirty washroom sink, and called down to report it. The woman who arrived waved her hand dismissively but I stood my ground and she cleaned it. Turns out the drain is clogged so even if the poor cleaner did her job the first time, the previous guest’s hair and muck would ring the sink unless you took special care. Annnd the sink was never fixed the whole time I was there. 2. At checkin I got a band slapped on my wrist and later realized every guest got one. It showed you belong on the property. Also they come in different colors: White means a basic stay; red means breakfast included and purple means all inclusive. So yea others will know what you’re paying for during your stay. 3. The beach is pretty good except it’s a pirate’s cove — meaning that because of the vagaries of Mexican law, though Hotsun has a great location and a piece of the beach for its guests, where you can generally sit free, the spots nearest the water belong to the government. So if you sit in the lounge chairs and under the tents nearest the waves, you have to pay different guys who keep changing the price every single day. If you land on a cruise ship from some far-flung country you may not be aware of this. Those guys, wearing uniforms of some sort, also sell drinks that are exorbitantly priced. Before you figure out they have nothing to do with Hotsun, you may be taken for a ride. I was. Also, every 1-2 mins of every day, vendors descend on the beach with all sorts of things for sale. In one day I was asked to buy grilled shrimp on a stick, coconut water with jelly, sun hats, fridge magnets, massages, boat rides, oysters, sun dresses, sunglasses, beach floats, tattoos, braids, sunscreen, sand boots and a serenade from a nice old man with a guitar. People have to make a living, yes, and the law makes Mexican beach space very democratic, but I wish the hotel, which took a $200 MXN returnable deposit to give me a towel to lie by the pool for the duration of my stay, had warned me about the Wild West nature of the beach where it is located, and pointed out which uniformed person belongs to the hotel and a head’s up so I could buy at my own risk. I said “No, gracias” maybe 90 times during that one week. 4. The noise, oh the noise. El ruido comes up to the hotel’s top floors and grabs you by the neck: Music, laughter, children squealing, etc. These are usually all marvelous aspects about living on planet earth, but when you can’t sleep because a group at the hotel is holding a party on the beach and the thump thump thump of reggaeton is blaring deep into the night and giving you a headache, the conclusion is the hotel is not prioritizing the comfort of the rest of its guests. If this is your jam, go for it. But for many it would be a frustrating experience all around.

My friends and I stayed at Calinda for a week in March for Spring Break. After reading some of the reviews, we were expecting a really horrible hotel. However, we were quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. Here's a summary: *this is definitely not a luxury hotel... many of the people who stayed there seemed more like local Mexican families than tourists travelling from abroad, so it was more of a ”locals” kind of hotel. * Nevertheless, hotel lobby was large, open-air setting, and there was a live band playing a few nights out of the week while we were there. Hotel is very clean, we would always see people cleaning and mopping the floors at all times of the day. *ROOM: very spacious, clean, separate sink and shower area. Every room has a balcony, and we had a lovely view of the ocean and beach. Beds weren't super comfy.. but was decent. Sheets were clean (thank God!) *House-cleaning was very good... we had a really nice lady clean our room every day. We left her a $2USD tip every day... and our room was always cleaned very well. *Hotel pool was pretty nice... not HUGE, but a good size. Go at the end of the day, the pool is really nice and warm. Nice way to end the day. *Plenty of beach chairs everywhere. Hotel is right on the beach which is quite convenient. Hotel provides beach umbrellas and chairs... but they can run out in the afternoon. Overall we were quite pleased with the hotel. In terms of location, Calinda is in the middle of a lot... but not quite next anything. Most of the places you want to go to (bars, restaurants, Super Gigante) are within a 15 min walk. Good choice for those travelling on a budget... or for spring breakers who want to enjoy themselves, but don't want to be living in the craziness/noisiness of spring break. Again, not a super fancy, luxury hotel... but its clean, good sized, and never had any problems with hotel mgmt.

GGuest UserWe were traveling as an extended family and had the three-bedroom suite facing the bay. Very nice, very clean, absolutely no complaints. Each room had a balcony. We saw sea turtles swimming in the water by the rocks numerous times. The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. We did not encounter any staff members who were not. Part of what made the visit so enjoyable is that the taxi drivers located outside the Fiesta Americana provide a great service. We booked a daylong tour with Jose Luciano Callejas Gonzalez. We paid less than then tour companies were charging, traveled in a spotlessly clean air conditioned Suburban, and got a personalized tour. Jose took us to numerous scenic outlooks, the Chapel of Peace (a must see), the Diego Rivera mural (another must see), the Mirador for lunch and to watch the cliff divers, the outdoor ampitheater, Los Flamingoes to see the view, and other stops. We really felt like we got a great overview of city. Jose's English is excellent and he's very knowledgeable. Look for the guy in the turquoise shirt, his service is exceptional! We also worked with several other drivers stationed at the hotel. Oscar Cervantes also has excellent English and outstanding service, as does Pedro. The pools at the hotel were very nice. One was closed for renovation while we were there (June 2023) but the others offered plenty of space. One nice surprise is that several floors offer washers and dryers free of charge. So great to be able to take home a suitcase of clean clothes! Our room had a small kitchen, stovetop only, no oven, plus microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. We made a run to the grocery store and were able to cook meals there some days. The hotel plays music throughout the evening and late into the night on the weekends. If you're sensitive to sounds, take ear plugs. The music didn't bother us but it might bother others. Fiesta Americana is in easy (and safe) walking distance to numerous restaurants. We particularly liked La Finca. I whole-heartedly recommend Fiesta Americana and its excellent staff and taxi drivers!

RResort24218831510PROS excellent service, friendly staff, very clean, great drinks, fun activities (tequila volleyball is a must), private beach area, great water pressure in the showers, every room has an amazing view, food was good (omelettes in the morning are the best), la cava restaurant is a great experience (be sure to make reservations for it, it is included in all inclusive packages) CONS basic rooms, hard beds, if you are a spring breaker there are more families here than college students (a plus or a minus depending on what you are looking for during the day), it is on the end of the hotel ***** so not everything is within walking distance (taxis are really inexpensive though, less than $5), no clocks in the rooms Acapulco is to Mexico what Florida is to the US, so if you are American you will be in the minority at the hotel but everyone was very friendly so it did not affect my experience at all If you are a spring breaker looking for craziness all day stay at the Playa Suites, but if you want a relaxing experience during the day stay here It is within walking distance to the Playa Suites, Disco Beach (you have to go there!!) and Ibiza plus McDonalds, KFC and other restaurants/stores Spring Breakers - be sure to hit up the Student City parties and purchase their party pass!! Disco Beach New Year's Party and Los Alebrijes Maxim VIP Party were some of the best nights of my life I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value for all inclusive packages.

Should you visit Acapulco (highly recommend!) do stay at the Mirador: it is clean, it is secure, the staff are lovely and helpful, and you can sit in the lobby or one of its restaurants and watch the famous cliff divers of Acapulco to your heart’s content. Our room was dated but clean - beds were comfortable, air-con worked well, shower was ok, basic toiletries included (soap bar, shampoo), 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel. No coffee in the room as other reviews have mentioned - but based on stays in other hotels in Mexico I don’t think it’s a thing here. The swimming pool was clean and we had it to ourselves. (There are a number of steps down to it but the hotel sits on a cliff after all). We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food and service were very good. Cheaper options are available nearby but you don’t get the incredible view over the sea and of the amazing cliff! Breakfast is worth it - plentiful food and coffee. Part of this experience is the nostalgia - the Mirador used to attract the famous and has served as a filming location. Doubtless there are newer, smarter places to stay in Acapulco. But this place has history and soul. Sure it’s seen better days, but haven’t most of us?

GGuest UserGood apartment for holiday with baby. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Because it’s mainly all in and we were on self catering, we found it annoying that the bar/kitchen were not open at reasonable times. The biggest issue is the location. It’s across from stoney beach not good for sunbathing and is a good walk from the end of the pine walk. We felt it was too dangerous to walk with a buggy at night time as no lighting so always factored in the time for the walk to the port and better beach. The bus is right there at the entrance and was very easy to use. Spa was lovely.
