Overall a great hotel, and we loved our room and the swimming pool (the changing rooms and showers are amazing!) but there were some issues. Our door cards constantly stopped working even though we told the staff every time we extended our booking. The gym was much too hot, almost too hot to work out in. The shower in the room was not hot enough and the water temperature fluctuated a lot. Breakfast was very disappointing; the breakfast room so freezing that a lot of people had to wear their coats to breakfast and a lot of the food was cold even at 7.30am. The service at breakfast was poor and there was little good western food. Undeniably the view is absolutely stunning though. The worst thing was the internet, which even for Chinese websites was extremely slow, and that more than anything else spoiled our stay.

Overall the experience was good but at check-in I was surprised at the line of questioning from the clerk. Why is the name of the local company I came to visit required during check-in? My visa is a resident visa so I was surprised at this line of questioning. Other than that I don’t have any complaints and quite enjoyed my stay.

It was my first time at the InterContinental Shijiazhuang. When checking in, I had to wait for a room. The duty manager Bliss, offered a compensation measure, which made the entire check-in process full of pleasant surprises.

The hotel has a good environment and a good location with complete facilities. The hotel is in a good location in the city center. There are two large shopping malls nearby, which is quite convenient for eating and shopping. There is also a museum nearby, which is only a few minutes' drive away. If you stay, you can park for free in the basement, which is quite good. The hotel's reservation depar**ent called in advance to arrange the room and sent fruit. The service is warm and considerate.

The hotel has above-ground and underground parking lots. During the May Day holiday, there was basically no space on the ground, but there were quite a few underground parking spaces, but they were basically full. The hotel is close to the government and you can see the TV tower. It is well decorated and has a complete range of facilities, including swimming, fitness and buffet. Welcome fruit is provided in the room. The house is square and the mattress is very thick, the pillows are moderately soft and hard, the curtains have a good shading effect, the TV signal is slightly worse, the room is very clean, and the attitudes of all kinds of waiters are very good.

Couldn't the system be smarter and input all the information for 3 days for me? The security outside was also in time. He is responsible and will not let in without inputting the information, even if he can see the room card. Shouldn't this management be praised for being so in place? Although the service at these two places made me a little unhappy this time, it was still a relatively pleasant stay, and I felt really good after spending three days in the hot springs.
