Lovely place, very atmospheric with huge comfortable, warm rooms. Cleaning was quite poor, we found food and wrappings in the room and the room wasn't cleaned during our stay. Location superb.

A short stay but very relaxing over

The room is very beautiful. I’m very impressed with both the room and the staff of hotel. The room attendant took care of us no matter what problems we had and guided me well.

Very cozy room with excellent view of the city. Room is spacious and sufficient heaters to keep one warm in a cold winter night.

We loved our experience at HerLand. The old converted Tibetan-style home was not only beautiful, but warm in the winter months - something we desperately needed. The owner is lovely and more than willing to sit and chat and help you with anything. They upgraded our room when we arrived due to it being off season. One of my favourite parts was meeting the friendly dogs that live on site. The hotel is being renovated this winter which means more amazing things to come in the summer. I definitely recommend staying here!

This is one of the most controversial reviews to leave. First, hotel looks nice. The interior including the room and exterior were cozy and authentic. The bed in our room was absolutely 5 star. However, there are some problems. Firstly, the look of oldness is take too far when you see the furniture which is burnt or a door in the bathroom which is rotten and doesn't look good because of the water spilled on olit all the time. This creates a look of lacking the hygiene. Don't expect much form breakfast. It is very basic Chinese style. Good for some people, not good for others. Room has everything youay need actually and even a little bit more. Second night the hot water was turned off, so we could not take a shower after a chilly rainy day. The guy came and apologized which was nice of him. The issue was fixed in the next morning. If you're looking for a drive to see around the city, do not accept the offer in this hotel. It was too expensive, so we just went next door and found the price which was a half.

The location is great, the remodeled original home stunning, it was odd to only have twin beds in a massive room that would easily fit 2 king sized beds, the bathroom doors open in an odd way but the room and sitting areas in the guesthouse were stunning and very comfortable. The service on the other hand left a lot to be desired, the breakfast was very basic and Chinese. The kitchen and dinning area could be cleaner but the chef was wonderful and very caring.

The hotel is located near the ancient city. It is very convenient for drivers to drive to the door of the B&B. It is very close to Moonlight Square on foot. The B&B has ******* characteristics, beautiful environment, and thoughtful design. The owner also prepares free tea, snacks, fruits, etc. for guests in the atrium. Guests feel at home and the service attitude is good.

I stayed here a few years ago. This time I came to Shangri-La again and chose this Tibetan-style accommodation. The room is large, with an oxygen concentrator and heating. The temperature was very low during our stay in Shangri-La, but the room was very warm. Friends who drive themselves can park their cars at the door, and the boss will coordinate parking spaces. We were stuck in traffic early in the morning, but we were quickly adjusted. The boss is very reliable. The location is a quiet place in the ancient city, and I like it very much.

I came to Shangri-La for 4 days, and this is the most satisfactory accommodation! I chose this one because the room is large and decorated in a unique ******* style. I was not disappointed when I arrived! It is located near Dukezong Ancient Town, next to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center, and I found that several Internet celebrity restaurants are also nearby. It is really more and more surprising. There is also unlimited fruit and tea in the lobby. The boss is very polite and enthusiastic. We also asked him to help book tickets for the toast banquet. He arranged us in the first row at a very fair price. Thank you very much. Unforgettable memories! I will choose to stay here next time I come to Shangri-La❤️
