Xiangyuan Hotel (Shangri-La Bus Station) Reviews

This hotel is full of options. Big room, clean, laundry machine, electric stove, refrigerator, all amenities. The most important thing that is only 5 minutes walk to ShangriLa bus station. If you plan to leave a luggage at the hotel, you need to contact the staff in advance because the hotel staff is not at the front desk in early morning. Overall I love this place and if you plan to go to Dukezong ancient town, only 3 km away and only 10 yuan by Didi driver. Very convenient.

The location is perfect, which is the opposite directly of the long-distance bus station. The room some how looks like as the pictures in the website. But I still found some stain on the shelfs below the kitchen counter....and a mysterious wood stick inside the refrigerator. For me, the room is too cold during the night even with an electric blanket and the bed is uncomfortable. BIG BUT, if you don't smoke and hate smoking smell, find other hotels as they don't have separated non-smoking zone and the smell is all over the hotel.

Room was very big and well equipped, including a washing machine and a fridge (fridge wasn't turned on so I didn't use it but the washing machine was great). Plenty of cupboard and shelf space to store luggage and clothes. It had a nice bay window seat which was cool. Bed was massive and very comfortable. Bathroom (seperate shower and toilet) were fine, could have been cleaner but it was ok. Location is good, about 45 minutes walk to the lake in front of Songzanlin Monastery (go there for sunrise!) and similar time to the ancient town, and there's bus stations outside so it's also well connected. The service was good, the lady was very quiet but helpful enough. Overall, it was good value for money.

The hotel is very close to the bus terminal, however, it still took me some time to find even when using Baidu maps. I arrived at around 2-2:30pm, but there was no staff there. There was a notice that staff is away and you could call, but as a foreign traveler I cannot really talk on phone in Chinese, so it was troublesome. I had to wait for 30 min. When the staff arrived, my room was still not ready, so I waited more. Unfortunately, room was not completely clean. And some furniture is not in it’s best condition. Washing machine in the room was quite convenient though! Not really recommended, although ok to stay for 1 night if you take an early coach from the bus terminal, as it is really close, just 3 min walk.

This hotel is newly built in 2023 but wear and tear are showing already as the quality of the fittings are not very good. Maintenance is poor and minimal. The toilet, shower room , kitchen sink are dirty. Security is not good as the hotel door is left wide open and the receptionist is often not at the station. Delivery personnel can go up and down with no check. However, there are many amenities provided, the best is the washer/dryer with detergent in the room. Not many hotel do that. Price is cheap so cannot complain.

Very closed to Bus Terminal Station, only three minutes walk. Hotel has no English signage, but it is behind the kindergarten. Room equipped with air con, tv, washing sink, cooking station, and cloth, washing machine. Comfort bed. Toilet and shower room is separate. Hot water is immediate work for a good shower.

We only spent one night here between two days of bus travel, but the room was very nice, right next to the bus station. It's large, clean, and the bed is comfortable. The room is equipped with a small kitchen and a washing machine. We recommend this hotel!

I can only say that I was very dissatisfied with this experience. I stayed at her house once in September. I was really surprised when I checked in. When I left, I thought I would give it a good review. But now I am going back to stay at her house again in November. really disappointed Hygiene: The mouthwash cup is really hard to describe! Aren't you going to wash it, or do you want to rinse it with water? ! I remember when I booked your home last time, it showed that it had just opened. It had only been a few months. Was the wall bombed by Syria? There is also an electric blanket. Could you please check the plug? The plug is all plugged in. Can it be powered on?
