The hotel had a very cheap double bed deal but I soon discovered why... It is located in the surroundings of Shanghai university and close to a few shopping areas. It seems like it was a bigger hotel before and you can see if tries to hold some of the old charm but is not very well maintained. The room smelled mouldy and there were mould stains on the sheets.

We had a great stay at this hotel, it’s the closest we found to the university which accepted foreigners. The staff is very helpful and nice so the language barrier was not a real problem, we managed to communicate thanks to our phones.

The service is very good. I want to watch TV at night and make a phone call. The staff will help me turn it on (I don't watch TV much so I won't turn it on 😂). The attitude is very good.
