The Eton Hotel Shanghai Reviews

One day stay. The hotel is excellent in terms of cleanliness and view. The room is good, but when I booked, I asked for a room with a bidet and I also asked for smoking to be available inside the room. When I went to the hotel after booking, I was surprised that there was no bidet and smoking was not allowed. This was something that did not meet my requests.

Clean and spacious room with 2 queen beds. Many shops and eateries just right at the hotel, this make essentials and food cravings purchases very convenient at night. Housekeeping is top class, we went for buffet breakfast and came back to the hotel room in tip top condition. The hotel is condition is a little old but it is value for money hotel and room has a view of the oriental pearl tower 东方明珠.

I came to Shanghai for business and planned to have a series of meetings in the central Shanghai. My choice of location was based on close proximity to the city center (I have never stayed at Eton before). My choice has turned to be very good - financial center of the city, embankment, many sightseeing attractions - are all at walking distance. All my business contacts were within 20 min drive by taxi. Location is very good! The rest of the infrastructure was also very good - lovely lobby, clean rooms, friendly staff, outstanding view from the window. Recommended!

Great view of the city and skyscrapers. Downstairs of the hotel is the subway and necessary stores.

The location is great , only 3 mins walk to the metro station and you are free to go to all the tourist attractions.  Although hotel is a bit old, the room is spacious and the view from room is stunning. The breakfast has different varieties of food and it is delicious.  Also enjoy the breakfast area , spacious and comfortable. Will stay in this hotel again next time.

Not bad, will book again it is very worth it, theres even a bath tub and great view!

Near to Pearl Tower. Clean and nice staffs. Gym was small but quite well equiped. It has fruit store and convenient store in the building and has local restaurant near by since it is located next to residence street.

Unfortunately I stayed only for two nights so I didn't have the chance to enjoy the hotel at its fullest, but I loved my brief time here! The room was amazing, big, clean and luxurious, with both shower and bathtub. I had an incredible view from my room of the three towers, it was beautiful seeing them lighting up at night. People at the front desk is really nice and speak English, so that made communication smoother. I recommend it!

Really Beautiful hotel. Close to the subway with an amazing room view you can get anywhere else. It’s close to the Shanghai Tower and walking distance from a lot of major attractions. There’s a mixue, family mart, jianbing place, and manner coffee right outside the hotel exit so it’s extremely convenient. The breakfast was phenomenal with a huge selection and multiple coffee machines in case of traffic. I’ve seen complaints of the decor being a bit dated and it’s true, however I will say the cleanliness and neatness of the rooms combined with the view really supersedes that by a mile so i didn’t really care. I would definitely stay again.

Eton hotel one of the best hotels in Shanghai... It's in the same road with Shanghai tower. Less than 10 minutes. My room has great view. The breakfast was awesome and various The gym is big and open 24 hours There's a subway station in front of the hotel I extremely recommend this hotel

Family holiday with two young children. Eton hotel was perfect for us. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were a little tired but well kept for its age and were clean and tidy. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, especially the kids. There was Western, Chinese, Korean, salad bar and pastries. Live stations included, noodle bar, eggs, Chinese pancakes and Western pancakes. There was also a selection of bread including matcha which was yum. I enjoy my Chinese breakfast so that's pretty much what I went for daily! (Don't get this readily available back home) The metro station is right outside the hotel but we found it quite convenient using didi app (through Alipay) especially with younger children. I highly recommend and would stay again next time.

The location was good. Well for us it was. Its like 10-30 sec walking distance from the hotel. And from the station to shanghai tower was like 2 stns away(?) 1 or 2. And to Waitan it was like 2-3 subway stns away. I’d talked the hotel assistant before I took off to Shanghai and I was afraid their English wasn’t good. But when I got to the front desk, I had no problem communicating with them. They were nice and friendly. The building has family mart so that was good too. Overall it was good!
