The hotel has been renovated and open since February 2025. Why do they offer free fragrance? I guess it's to cover the renovation smell. The hotel's public and room interiors feature a lot of wood finishes, and anyone who stays there will know the smell. I booked a top-selling room, but upon arrival, I was told it had an interior window (a fake view), no ventilation, and a pungent smell. The front desk clerk said it was insulated. After discussion, I was offered a room with a window, but the bed was smaller. The hotel manager didn't proactively communicate with guests, leaving the front desk to relay their concerns. (I was informed of the problem at noon, but it hadn't been fixed by the time I returned that evening. Then I was told the window only had a small bed.) I don't understand the 4.8 rating. Have all those who complained about the strong renovation smell been accommodated? The afternoon tea and late-night snacks are a special feature and deserve praise.
