Hi Inn Hotel (Shanghai Railway Station North Square)

While traveling in Shanghai, a typhoon hit and trains were suspended. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Hi Inn. The two front desk ladies were incredibly kind and always had a smile on their faces. They knew I had trouble catching the train with my child, so they extended my checkout time so I could get some extra rest. Later, when they learned the trains had been suspended, they immediately extended my stay to my original room. They were incredibly helpful! The hotel facilities are all new. While the room is a bit small, it's spotless. The maids cleaned it meticulously, and the smart toilet and robot food delivery were adorable. My favorite aspect of the Hi Inn was the provision of disposable towels. I usually bring my own when I travel, rather than using the hotel towels, and the Hi Inn shared this sentiment. Honestly, I rarely stay in hotels when I travel, just for a shower and a good night's sleep. As long as it's clean, comfortable, and relaxing, the size of the room doesn't really matter. Therefore, my high rating for the Hi Inn is entirely due to the warm and attentive staff who care deeply about their guests. Other minor flaws, such as the storefront being too far inwards and making it difficult to hail a taxi, are so outweighed by the merits that I don't care!
