HuangdangyizuThe Stanford Hotel Myeongdong boasts an excellent location. It's just a few minutes' walk to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Subway Station, which is on Line 2 and connects to Line 4 for Myeongdong Station and Seoul Station. Myeongdong Shopping Street is right downstairs, making dining, shopping, and getting around incredibly convenient. The airport limousine bus stop is also close by, located right in front of the Ibis Hotel.
The room was clean, tidy, and well-lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. The bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly, and there was even an uncle who spoke Chinese, making communication very smooth. The hotel is well-equipped with amenities like a laundry room and a gym.
The only minor drawback is that the room is a bit small; it was a little inconvenient to walk around once we had two 24-inch suitcases open. Overall, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Seoul and prioritize convenience, I highly recommend staying here.

CookieChunLoved the hotel. It was great as there were four of us and we could have separate rooms, also spend time together in the living room area. All staff were very polite and helpful. The room was extremely clean and very quiet. There was a washer/dryer with laundry liquid which was a plus. We used it once and items were dried in no time. The only downside was breakfast. Our room included 2 breakfast but only used once as it was really bad. No variety of food, not hot enough and the food really was quite rubbish to be honest. But that doesn't matter because we were happy to get brekkie outside in cafes and bakeries. The hotel itself is perfect though in terms of location, less than 10 min walk to Myeungdong shopping street. Very happy and highly recommended.

Karina’sChExcellent location. Breakfast is included, along with amenities such as towels and slippers. Overall cleanliness is good, though the bathrooms are somewhat dated and in need of renovation. The female dormitory is essentially a single large room packed with beds; while there are spacious lockers for belongings, there is very little space in the aisles.

Kazelynne OserinI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—it’s close to Myeongdong and within walking distance of many restaurants, convenience stores, and public transportation, making it very convenient to explore Seoul.
The staff were all friendly, accommodating, and able to communicate well in English, which made everything much easier. The breakfast was also delicious, with a good variety of options to start the day.
A special thank you to the hotel for allowing us a complimentary late check-out until 2:00 PM instead of the standard 12:00 PM. We truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture.
The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, providing a relaxing stay. One feature I especially loved was the water dispenser on our floor—it was a huge plus and very convenient.
Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Seoul!

Guest UserOur family of five (3 adults, 2 children) stayed in a Family Wood Suite. Taking off our shoes at the entrance, it felt just like a 3LDK (3-bedroom apartment with living, dining, and kitchen) in Japan. The room was very clean and, as shown in the pictures, incredibly spacious and comfortable with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Having two bathrooms was a huge plus, making it easy for a large family to use without issues. We often ate meals bought from the nearby convenience store in the separate living room. The living room was very convenient, equipped with two refrigerators, a kettle, tableware, and bottled mineral water. Amenities included towels (changed daily), shampoo, and body wash, but no toothbrushes or pajamas. The location was excellent: a few minutes' walk to the nearest station, 10 minutes to Lotte Department Store, 15 minutes to Gyeongbokgung Palace, and 15 minutes to Myeongdong Street. There were also plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, a McDonald's, Starbucks, and Olive Young around the hotel, so we could easily get anything we needed. The staff included Japanese-speaking members, which made check-in and check-out very smooth. Our kids absolutely loved it, so I highly recommend it for families.

For an accommodation which is located within the high streets of Myeongdong, the room is big enough and sufficient in any way for a solo traveler. The hotel’s run by a semi-automatic system so you would not always see the staffs in the front desk. The rubbish cleaning and used towels have to moved by yourselves to the indicated location, they will not collect them for you. The worst drawback is that they don’t really have a locked room or even storage space to store your luggages, it just leave your personal belongings in the open space in front of the reception, very unsecured in deed.

ChachayeyeI absolutely have to recommend the Mayone Hotel. Let me start with the only downside: the bathroom is a bit small. That's it! Everything else is top-notch. First, the location is unbeatable. I've traveled many times, and this is the first time I've stayed in a hotel right in the city center. The feeling of pure bliss when you're tired from shopping in Myeongdong and can walk a few hundred meters back to the hotel to rest is something you have to experience to understand. During my four-day stay, I practically returned to the hotel for a break almost every day before heading out again. Second, the hotel staff's service attitude is fantastic. I emailed them, and they replied very quickly and promptly. When we arrived in Korea, we weren't sure which bus to take to the hotel, so I emailed them, and I quickly got a reply. The hotel even specifically warned me to be careful, which was incredibly touching. Later, when we were leaving, I sent another email, and the hotel's reply brought tears to my eyes on the AREX train. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and dedication; my trip to Seoul, Korea, was made even better because of you! Finally, the hotel also cleans the trash daily, which seems to be quite rare in Korea, so it's worth mentioning! Last but not least, I wish the Mayone Hotel great success in business. If I ever come to Seoul again, I will still choose Mayone!!

Anonymous UserThe hotels location is excellent and one of its biggest advantages. It is conveniently located near both a bus and subway station. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants and food options, and there is also a convenient store nearby where we regularly buy our coffee and bread or egg for breakfast.
While we appreciated having a luggage storage option, what we did not expect was that there is no reception desk available. We were required to access a storage room ourselves, but we had not been provided with the passcode. It would have been much more helpful if the instructions for contacting the property management had been posted on the lower ground floor rather than on the second floor, as this caused some confusion upon arrival. The property could also improve the guest experience by sending detailed instructions for luggage storage at least a day before check-in. This would have helped us know exactly where to go and how to accessthe storage room upon arrival.
Another important point to note is that the property does not have an elevator. Guests assigned to the upper floors, particularly the fourth floor, should be prepared to carry their luggage up several flights of stairs. In addition, international travelers should be aware that South Korea uses round-pin electrical outlets, so it is advisable to bring the appropriate adapter if needed.
