Hotels in Yeouido, Seoul

Room is quite small. Had 2 bars of used soap, a used toothpaste and a used wash cloth. Cold water in the wash sink is out of order in our room so we had to be extra cautious or get scolded with hot water when brushing our teeth. This is just a place to sleep not to feel comfortable. Overall a 2.2/5. The added .5 because they do provide new towels daily, free water and room cleaning.

this is like an Airbnb concept. 1. Limited amenities: small bath towel, no hand towels, no slippers, no laundry bag, no detergent provided. Soap and shampoo dispenser is hard to squeeze. It was not refilled when check in. Had to buy our own because it finished even before the next housekeeping day. However, water bottles and hair dryer are provided. 2. Housekeeping: no daily housekeeping - every 3rd day. On days no housekeeping, trash is thrown on your own, towels, water bottles, and bath mat are not replaced. If you would want to have more housekeeping, there is an additional surcharge per day. Housekeeping days did not make sense - they would clean on the day before you checkout but not in between. No early check in and late checkout - additional surcharge if exceed checkout time. Check in is done through a kiosk even though there was a concierge (concierge is not 24/7) Our room was not cleaned thoroughly. First arrival - there was a used plaster found between the LG styler - it was not removed even when the 2nd and 3rd round of housekeeping. Tables were dusty. Bedsheets had some holes. Only convenience is it is near to a station - however station is not like a main station, lots of transits need to be done if you are a tourist wanting to go to popular spots. If you like to be near the yeouido park, see cherry blossoms etc, this is a convenient location. Room space is decent, bonus points was the washing machine, dryer and LG styler. If you would like to cook etc, each room is filled with full kitchen amenities.

○About the hotel location It is about a 5-minute walk from Yeongdeungpo Station. There are many restaurants around, so it was very bright even at night. If you search for Starlighthotel on Conest, it will not come up, so search for 별빛호텔. You can find a decent selection of shopping at Shinsegae Department Store and Times Square, and there is a convenience store about every 50 meters. There are also many cafes in front of the station. ○About the hotel When I checked in, the front desk staff started calling the cleaning staff right in front of me, saying, ”A customer has arrived,” which made me laugh a little lol There were many amenities, and the refrigerator had 3 bottles of water, canned coffee, juice, and powdered tea. There was a comb and a hair dryer, and the outlet next to the bed was a 3-in-1 (type A.B.C) so I didn't need a conversion plug. (It may be necessary for people who charge a lot of mobile phones or use hair irons) There was no cleaning or towel change for the 2 nights and 3 days. If I had asked, they would probably have replaced it and cleaned it, but I didn't want them to come into my room, so I was glad. I wasn't sure if this will be helpful since it was a higher-class room, but there was enough space to spread out two large carriers on the floor, and although the bathroom and toilet were in the same space, they were close enough that it didn't bother me, and it was very clean. The headlights on the bed were blue and the decorations were futuristic, so I thought I was in Star Wars lol

Hotel was very clean and neat! But I’ve got to say the 23msq isn’t quite right. It was really small & we didn’t have space to open the luggage on the floor. I’ve been to other hotels with the same measurement and beds but were able to open our luggage. Windows cannot be open as well to allow for normal ventilation. But they had a ventilator? to allow the air outside to come in if we didn’t want to use the heater. But it was quite noisy. Housekeeping would always try to ensure they have cleaned your room & ask if you need any towel change even if they don’t need to clean your room. Location was great, it was a few minutes walk to yeongdeungpo station which & there is a bus stop right outside the hotel too. Bus 6007 airport limousine also stops somewhat outside the hotel. Had a fall and wasn’t able to walk & ask if the hotel had wheelchair, they actually provided it for me! A bit dusty but it was great!! Thankful to be able to move around with the wheelchair! However, we left a neck pillow in the room but it went missing & we didn’t even realised it until we were about to leave. Staff all claimed that they didn’t take (which I agree) but I kept saying that it’s probably with like the linens since we left it on the bed. However, it was quite tough to speak to them & we gave up finding it. Otherwise, it was a rather good stay.

The hotel has a great location, close to Yeouido subway station and Hyundai Department Store. Upon arrival, the staff proactively helped with our luggage. The front desk staff provided excellent service and were very polite. Due to not having a local credit card and accout issue, we couldn't use the app to book a taxi, but the staff promptly helped us with this. The view from the hotel window is excellent, with a clear sight of the Han River. The hotel uses Le Labo 31 amentities. However, the cleanliness needs improvement. Some areas has quite a bit of dust buildup, and the housekeeping staff placed our personal toothbrush directly on the counter, which made us uncomfortable as the toothbrush directly touched the surface.If we visit Seoul again in the future, I will still consider choosing Fairmont.

I had an amazing stay at Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Times Square! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Times Square with easy access to shopping, dining, and transportation. The room was clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was perfect after a long day of exploring Seoul, and the city view from the window added a special touch to the experience. The service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. I especially appreciated the seamless check-in and check-out process.

Conveniently located next to IFC mall. There is a walkway at L1 that leads you directly to the mall with many high end stores. However, I am not quite happy with their pool. Half of the pool is blocked for play. There are about 20-30 kids there. I doubt they are all hotel guests. The remaining two lanes are ”members only,” and ”laps.” I am not sure what kind of membership you need to be able to swim on the members only lane. That lane is usually not occupied. The lap lane is busy. People jump in and out wihtout notifying the people alreay in the lane. I hit severl people by accident because of the lack of warning. When I asked whether I can use the members only lane. I was told no. Again, I am a paying guest for the hotel. Why can't I use the members only lane? In addition, they have to clean the pool every two hours for 15 minutes (pool is closed during the cleaning). I have never seen a pool that needs cleaning every two hours. Very poor management there.

The location of the apartment is convenient as it is situated near a convenience store and several restaurants. Additionally, it is only a 10-minute walk away from the subway station. The room is relatively spacious but appears to be cluttered and unclean. The sofa has stains on it which is not very pleasant. However, the sound insulation of the room is poor and I often hear noises from the elevator and other rooms during the night. The elevator itself is not very hygienic and has an unpleasant smell. Moreover, the breakfast choices are limited.

Centrally located near subway and attractions, the hotel provides good value, delicious breakfast, and excellent multilingual service. Prompt room service enhances guest experience.
