Mamas & Papas Hongdae Guesthouse and Apartments, Seoul Reviews

Lataed in the Hongdae (Hong-ik Dae Hagyi, Hong-ik University) district, Manas and Papas can be easily reached from two subway stations. I would personally recommend that travelors set off from the Sang-su Station (Seoul Subway Line 6) exit one when they try to find this guesthouse. Though Seoul Subway Line 2 (Green Line) is probably the busiest subway lines in Seoul with populor attrations like Ihwa University and Hogndae, the Hongdae Ibgu (Hongdae Entrance) Station could be overwhelming to those who get to this area for the first time. Anyway, if you would like to go to Itaewon or Mang-won Market, they are two stations on Line 6.

Great location, great value for its price. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Didn't find the place as dirty as some reviews. However, room isn't soundproof and you can hear people walking and opening doors. The street was not too noisy as well. Highly recommended for short stays if you are on a budget.

One of the worst hostels of the last 280 days in 19 countries. It wasn't clean; the PIN I was sent for self-check-in didn't work. It took forever for a member of staff to get in touch. My absolute highlight, however, was the person vomiting in our 8-person dorm. The whole thing happened at 2 a.m., and nothing had been cleaned. You can imagine the smells. Even though it was very cheap, I can't recommend it.

The accommodation is cheap and decent. The room looks a bit old and isn't sparkling clean, but it's not so dirty that you can't stay there. The foreign staff speak English and Korean. The internet is good. Overall, I recommend it if you are someone who is easygoing and only staying for a few days, as it's in an area where tourists can easily eat and live comfortably, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

Excellent location in Hongdae. The check in was smooth. The room was spacious and the staff running the place kept it very clean. Wifi worked well. I recommend Mamas & Papas.

The room was quiet. The reception staff were friendly. A simple breakfast with toast jam and orange juice. Serving myself. I like it here.

Very very basic! I think those blankets and pillows were not washed since weeks..

This hostel located near HongDae, but nearer to Hapjeong area. Night time can be a little bit noisy since the area is busy till late. There is lift up to 5th floor, the mixed dorm is at 4th floor. It only have 1 dedicated washroom for male and 1 for female at 4th floor. The male toilet is in 4th floor but the male shower is in 5th floor. You cannot shower in 4th floor. Need to go up to 5th floor. Otherwise downstaries has G25 and its hongdae area, lots of shop

position is ok, but you can see some drunk quite near that after a long night. only have 1 WC for women or for men so it takes a lot of time to hygiene. Room small but with this rate and this area, you can not request a lot. btw, they support a lot to check in early or take a rest a little bit after a long trip.

Location is great, rooms are small but fairly clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It is good to stay near HongDae street. You have to share the washroom. Men's and women's restrooms are available separately.
