Very good stay, they got all the things I need. Breakfast was fairly good but not horrible. The location was not far from town, they have electricity bicycle for rent, and easy to move around.

They seems do not respect client pay extra money to order the high floor ocean view room. I booked the high floor, ocean view room, however the front desk had us a low floor (4th floor) and told us that is what we ordered. I insist to change the room and they asked us to move to 10th floor and told us this room is new, has none stay before and there is no other clients in this floor. However in the morning when we got up, half of the room in 10th floor have occupied. I do not understand why the hotel people lied as that. Overall the view is great in the room.

This hotel is truly riddled with complaints. Just 300 meters across the street from the main entrance is a cemetery. The previous guest's napkins were still under the curtains, and there were hair streaks in several places. The sheets were wrinkled and creased. The phone was silent, so I had to go downstairs to the front desk. The hair dryer button was constantly broken, requiring me to turn it on and off dozens of times to dry my hair. When it did work, I had to dry it immediately, otherwise I'd have to press the button for too long. The air conditioner was so loud I had to use earplugs at night. There was a half-step from the bedroom to the bathroom, which was a real trip hazard. There were even gecko nests on the ceiling. It was truly unspeakable. Semporna was a small fishing village from the 1980s, and it was very backward. The standard of this guesthouse is understandable, but why was it charging over 600 per night in this condition? They also insisted on deducting a deposit of 200 Malaysian ringgit, which resulted in me having to keep the Malaysian ringgit when I checked out and returned home. They were also very mean and wrote down a compensation price list, which included bed sheets, pillows, hair dryers, etc., and there were no facilities in the room.
