Let's start with the positives. The rooms at the hotel were undeniably great. They were spacious, well-designed, and offered a comfortable ambiance. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room decor, making it a pleasant space to relax after a long day of exploring the area.
The hotel's breakfast selection was another highlight of my stay. There was a good variety of options, and the quality of the food was quite impressive. Starting my day with a satisfying breakfast definitely set a positive tone for my daily adventures.
Though the overall service at the hotel was just okay, there was one staff member who stood out and made a significant difference in my stay - Kitty. Kitty's exceptional assistance and attentiveness were truly commendable. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options.
However, there were some glaring issues that affected my experience. First and foremost, the Wi-Fi connection was terrible. As a traveler, having reliable internet access is essential for staying connected and planning daily activities. Unfortunately, the unreliable Wi-Fi at the hotel made this difficult, and it was quite frustrating.
Additionally, the swimming pool was a letdown. Despite appearing beautiful in the pictures, it was actually dirty during my stay. I was looking forward to relaxing by the poolside, but the unclean water made it an unappealing option.
Furthermore, the location of the hotel was a significant drawback. It was far from most of the popular attractions and amenities, making it inconvenient and time-consuming to travel to places of interest. I found myself spending more time commuting than enjoying the destination itself.
On the culinary front, while there was a restaurant called ”China First,” the food was indeed excellent. However, I can't overlook the fact that it was expensive, and overall, the hotel felt overpriced for the amenities and services provided.

Atour light is a great hotel even though its not as big as other hotels. I like to praise the staff'for their positive, helpful attitude. I am satisfied with their service, especially a young man by the name of Yan Yee who goes beyond his duty to help with translation of english. Assist in booking our cab and assist especially with the mandarin address which we were clueless. Kudos to all the front line staff and ground staff who were very helpful even when they were busy. A young cheerful lady staff (did not get her name) was also very helpful too in helping us on our final day of checkout when we have difficulty with the didi booking App. We very much appreciated their fantastic service, the past few days of our stay here. Keep up the good job. Your management should be very proud to have such a great team. Our 4-nights stay here was made pleasant. We wish to thank the staff, senior staff & everyone for the service rendered. Our rooms are 1306 (me) & 1307 from 20-29th Nov 2024 and we are from Singapore. 👍🙏

The room was superb, super close to Meilan Airport, we had two people traveling together, chose the hotel's pick-up service, that is, the pick-up service is very slow, very slow, but the hotel processing plan is good, reimburse our taxi fee, there are children in the hall to see the picture book, It is great to borrow for free. The drop-off service that left the next day was very nice and the time was very accurate and fast. It was very late on the day of arrival, and the customer service guy was able to contact us patiently to provide the specific check-in method of the homestay. The service throughout the whole process was also very good and reliable. Regarding the room type, I originally booked a one-bedroom apartment, but later upgraded to a high-rise loft, a two-bedroom apartment, with bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, mosquito repellent, and air conditioning on throughout the whole process, so I slept very comfortably. In terms of equipment, the household facilities are also very complete, including kitchen utensils, washing machines, etc. I bought a bag of laundry detergent and could wash clothes, which could be dried overnight.
The view is also great, and the room faces the sea directly. At night, taking a walk downstairs to enjoy the sea breeze and having a midnight snack is really an ideal life for a holiday. In addition, there are many restaurants and supermarkets around, which are enough to cope with daily life.
There is just a slight smell in the house. I'm not sure if it's because it's a little damp near the sea or the smell of the bathroom, but for such a suitable price and such a beautiful view, it's still acceptable.

The hotel is still very good, the service is good, the beach is right outside, the sea breeze can be felt when the window is open, and there is no noise as others have said when the window is closed.
Without mentioning the advantages, let's talk about the areas that need improvement:
1. It is indeed a bit late to arrive at the hotel at 9 pm, but it is also true that the bananas given as gifts are black, so it is better to change to other fruits;
2. The hotel linens are not washed cleanly, and there are yellow ”small maps”. Fortunately, I brought the sheets with me this time, otherwise I would definitely check out.

AAyesha Tin WeiThis is our first trip to Haikou, although we have been to Sanya a few times. The Langham Haikou is conveniently located, there are shopping malls, shops and restaurants nearby.
The swimming pool is clean with nice view, esp. for taking photos. It definitely has a resort feel.
All the staff provide excellent services, including Concierge and Front Office.
Special thanks to Miss Julie Wang who is always helpful and caring in all aspects, and she upgraded us to a sea view room with stunning view! Deeply appreciated!
The room is spacious and cozy, very comfortable. We will come back to stay again in the near future.

MMarkBreakfast had a vast selection, but none of it was very good. The sushi would make a Japanese person cry, the sausages and bacon would make an English person cry and you would get a better Chinese breakfast for 10RMB at a local market (baozi and yotiao are from frozen).
The main reason for choosing this hotel over other options was the kids club. Unfortunately it is rubbish. A single member of staff doing some origami with leaves or basic art/craft. Requires adult supervision. Very disappointing by international standards.
Hotel is very grand, but not maintained to the standard you would expect from the brand. Design of the hotel does not lend itself to Haikou's climate, the communal spaces are not aircondionable and so it is uncomfortably hot.
Pool was good, but again needs maintenance. Children especially enjoyed the foam cannon.
Room was spacious, clean and cool.
Coffee is good.
At the time of writing they offer ”good night” as a free gift which is a lavender spray. They also offer a free drink on arrival - which just means help yourself to a drink from the fridge in your room.
Overall I would recommend paying a bit less and going with a newer hotel closer to the city.

AAnonymous UserOn the positive side: The hotel itself is quite great, playground and pools were appealing, several good activities for kids, restaurant and breakfast were also very good and staff very friendly (especially in restaurant)
In the negative side: the location is not good, at least 8-10km from everything. No any restaurant or activities nearby, need to take a taxi for everything with at least 40min to 1h drive. One of the restaurant (noodle one) closed quite early so dinner in hotel was limited to 2 restaurants. In addition, because of weather (wind and a bit cold) beach was not suitable for us to stay and pools were closed.
Good hotel for company events or short family stay (max 2 days) but not for prolonged family vacation (week)

CCT Mcr BJMy family had an excellent stay at the Sheraton, so much so that we extended an additional night. The resort leads onto the beach which is kept very clean. At the hotel the hot springs were the highlight helping keep us warm from the chill. As previously mentioned, Erin did a fantastic job of supporting our stay and helping us when ever needed. The free activities for children and diverse breakfast make it a deal for families.

LLanxinguifuThe hotel is in an excellent location with a very good surrounding environment, including Wanlv Park, Century Bridge, Yundong Library, etc. Free parking is also very convenient. The front desk lady is attentive and enthusiastic, and feels at home. We also upgraded the room for our old customers. Standing on the balcony, you can see the beautiful night view and the bay, which is very spectacular and beautiful. The room is fully equipped, the bedding is comfortable, and the breakfast is very rich. I will often visit this hotel in the future.

GGuest UserThe location was not ideal for the purpose of my vacation. It was difficult to determine from the online information available, if there was a beach nearby. There wasn’t. It was also frustrating that the swimming pool was closed given that there was not swimming beach nearby. There is a supposed to be a spa in the hotel but it was no longer available. A fitness room still exists and looked well equipped. Aside from this, the staff were friendly and a couple of the staff spoke enough English to take care of my needs. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning my room. It was convenient to have laundry facilities in the room given that my stay was 14 days long. If you’re in Haikou for business, then I give this hotel high marks. I was on vacation so it wasn’t the ideal hotel.

GGuest UserIt is close to the holiday beach and has its own swimming pool. You can see the swimming pool, beach and sea from the balcony. As a sea view room, the price is relatively affordable. It is very convenient to park and visit the beach.
There was a lot of seaweed on the beach in March that no one had cleared away, and it was a bit smelly.
The facilities are relatively old, some sockets are broken, the basic toiletries provided can only be said to be there, and the wooden door in the room is so old that I suspect it will break if I use a little force...
