The room was very quiet, with ample spacing between rooms. The hotel breakfast was a delightful surprise—Japanese-style—with fresh sashimi, sweet shrimp, tempura, seafood rice bowls, and more, all served early in the morning. Refills were prompt, and the staff were quick and efficient in attending to each guest in an orderly manner. Additionally, there's an airport bus stop just 100 to 200 meters from the hotel, directly opposite Abest Hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to Odori Park, shopping, restaurants, and public transport. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. We especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful rooftop area. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Sapporo. Highly recommended!

The room was spacious enough with plenty of space for luggage. It would be much better if the lighting was warm yellow. There are many small supermarkets nearby. From 3 PM to 10 PM, they offer welcome drinks, including various hot coffee flavors and several cold beverages, which are at least bottled drink quality. The breakfast tasted really good.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic, I honestly can't find any faults with it, apart from the price. As soon as you walk into the lobby, there's a lovely fragrance, which I really enjoyed. The lobby also has a bar where you can get free drinks, perfect for a girls' night out! Plus, there's a huge mirror, which is ideal for getting ready with your friends! (My only minor complaint is that housekeeping didn't come every day.)

The location is great, right next to Tanukikoji, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Don Quijote. Facilities: There's a hot spring, but I didn't get a chance to use it. There's also a self-service laundry, but it only accepts coins, no electronic payments. Cleanliness: It was very clean and tidy; I had a comfortable stay. Service: We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM and were told we could store our luggage first, but check-in wasn't until after 3 PM. We dropped off our bags and went out to explore. We came back after dinner to pick up our room key.

We booked the connecting rooms and it was exactly what a group needs in the city. *The room setup was the MVP*: Two separate rooms with a connecting door + two full toilets and two showers. That meant no morning queues, no waiting for the bathroom when everyone’s rushing out for breakfast. For families or friends traveling together, this layout is a game changer. Rooms were clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for Sapporo. *Location*: Super convenient. Easy walk to transport and the main shopping/dining areas, so we didn’t need a car the whole time. *Service*: Staff were polite, efficient with check-in, and happy to help with local tips. After 5 nights I can honestly say the connecting room setup made the trip so much smoother. If you’re traveling with kids, parents, or a group of adults and want privacy + convenience, ask for this room type. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Karaksa Sapporo nailed the balance of location, clean rooms, and thoughtful design.

I stayed at Hotel Abest Sapporo for 5 nights during a company travel, and I appreciated having my own room. The room was small but comfortable enough for one person, with everything I needed for the stay. The location was the best part—very convenient and just a step away from Tanukikoji Shopping Street, making it easy to shop, dine, and explore nearby areas after our activities. The breakfast was also commendable, with many choices to start the day well. I also appreciated the free personal amenities available in the lobby, as well as the free drinks offered during limited hours, which were nice added touches. Overall, it was a practical, comfortable, and convenient stay.

This hotel is a top choice for those who prioritize location and value for money! The location is superb. Traveling with seniors, we could reach Tanukikoji, Moyuk, Daiso, the Pole Town underground shopping street, and Don Quijote within 5 minutes. Parco and Mitsukoshi were within 10 minutes. There are countless restaurants and drugstores nearby. Right across from the hotel is a chain tonkatsu restaurant, packed with locals. There's a slight wait during peak hours, but it offers great value, and on weekdays, they even have special lunch sets. Pork lovers should definitely try their most expensive set (though portions are huge, and everyone has to order one – consider ordering the cheapest one to round out the number of orders if you're not that hungry). Regarding the rooms, we adjusted to a cheaper, randomly assigned room before arrival, requesting adjacent rooms on a high floor and quiet, and all our requests were met. We ended up with three twin rooms on the highest floor. The beds weren't small, and the room size was definitely enough for one person. I had a 28-inch and a 24-inch suitcase plus a duffel bag, and I could open everything. For two people with a lot of luggage, it might be a bit tight. Overall, the hotel facilities are relatively new, small but have everything you need. Breakfast, if included, is very basic. For three days, aside from one type of bread (croissant and whole wheat toast rotated), everything else was the same. The taste was decent, but the selection was very limited. We mostly just had a quick bite before heading out each day. I'd recommend skipping breakfast unless you have seniors or children who absolutely need to eat right after waking up. The picture shows all the available options. There's also what they call 'free light meals' from 3 PM to 10 PM. The pictures made it look abundant, but we didn't see any desserts for three days, only ice cream. Coffee and hot tea are available all day. There's an ice machine on the first floor. I basically used it to sit down and rest while waiting for the seniors to finish their meal after my morning stroll. The fruit tea is delicious. Rooms don't provide water, so you'd often see people refilling their bottles here, which is fine. Service-wise, it varied: The long-haired female staff member at check-in was rather cold and had mediocre English skills. The group before us was Korean guests, and she treated both groups with a flat, expressionless demeanor. However, she processed everything quite quickly. There was also a Japanese middle-aged man with a protruding belly. Initially, he stood behind the two front desk staff, watching them work. I thought he was a manager overseeing operations, but his attitude was also very impatient. When I tried to pay the accommodation tax, I wanted to swipe my card. The machine and the female staff member weren't familiar with it, and it didn't work at first (it turned out the magnetic strip was inserted the wrong way). He kept saying ”no no no,” snatched my card, and tried to insert it. But my card didn't have a chip, so inserting it wouldn't work, which I had explained beforehand. In the end, it still had to be swiped. I've never encountered such rude front desk staff. The female staff next to him also looked a bit startled. However, several subsequent staff members, both male and female, regardless of their English proficiency, had very good attitudes. Especially one young man – we were waiting to use the laundry, and one machine finished but the clothes hadn't been picked up. I went to the front desk to explain, and the young man immediately responded with a smile. A tip for everyone: if you're like us and want to wash all your accumulated outerwear at the end of your stay, try to avoid peak hours after dinner. There are only two washing machines and two dryers, and when it gets crowded, some people don't come to pick up their clothes on time, which can be frustrating. There's also an airport limousine bus stop nearby (we didn't use it but saw it, not far away). This chain hotel is ubiquitous, and its locations are generally good. Overall, it offers good value for money!👍
