Absolutely Unforgettable Experience at MGM Sanya! Shoutout to Jelly from Guest Relations! Location: The hotel boasts a prime spot in Sanya Bay, with a private stretch of soft, white-sand beach. Just cross the street, and you're at the ocean—the sunsets are breathtaking! Facilities: Infinity pool + kids' water park + VR game zone—there's so much fun for both adults and children, you won't even want to step outside! Ambiance: Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the resort vibe is totally on point. The live music at the lobby bar creates such a chill atmosphere, and every corner is Instagram-worthy! Cleanliness: The room was spotless, complete with disinfection seals on the bathtub. Even the towels on the beach chairs were folded into swan shapes—attention to detail that truly delights! Service: A special thanks to Jelly—she was incredibly responsive and made sure all our needs were met effortlessly.

The Lake View Suite offered a great view of Longtan Lake. Although a shuttle service was required for getting to and from the suite, it was always prompt and very convenient. Gina from Guest Services was exceptionally thoughtful; she arranged welcome fruit upon check-in, and our kids loved the room's setup and the cake Gina arranged for them. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, and it was also kept quite clean. Overall, a great experience.

Third time here and we had a fantastic family holiday again! Location, beach, swimming pools and gardens are gorgeous and really well kept. We love the different pool options and the room with direct pool access is so convenient with kids. I agree with other reviews that rooms could use renovation, especially if they used to be smoking rooms, but daily cleaning is impeccable. The open air breakfast spot is lovely and breakfast choice is excellent, Chinese restaurant is also very good and provided such nice support to celebrate kid’s birthday. Derrick Liu was so helpful to address any concerns, everyone on staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Can wholeheartedly recommend!

Don't book any room other than a sea-view room at Holiday Inn. Only the sea-view rooms offer a view of the ocean from the bed. Even the 8th-floor sea-view rooms are problematic because their balconies are enclosed. All other rooms face the mountains or a lake, and you'll see a dilapidated, abandoned hotel, plus they reek of mildew. It really dampened our spirits during the stay. On the day we checked in, the door to our rainforest room was broken and took ages to fix, and the TV was also out of order. Ctrip tried to help us get some compensation, but to no avail. On the positive side, the hotel shares public facilities and family activities with the adjacent Hualuxe. The kids' restaurant also serves decent food. Jasmine took the kids crabbing, and both adults and children had a wonderful time. The suite also had basic kitchenware for heating food, and there's a laundry room available. Plus, takeout delivery is convenient in the area, so it offers good value for money.

We recently stayed with our family at Tianyu Family Hotel, Zone 2. Our room was thoughtfully designed, and the in-room washer and dryer were incredibly practical. The bedding was also very comfortable. The hotel's service was outstanding! They not only provided children's toiletries but also thoughtful touches like kids' bathrobes and slippers. All the staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel right at home. A special shout-out to Lily, whose service was particularly attentive and warm; she greeted us every day. Breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, featuring a wide selection of kid-friendly foods, along with dedicated children's tables and cutlery. Every detail was clearly well-thought-out.

We stayed there for 5 nights and I have to say, while it was nice to relax, we were starting to become bored. There is no animation, no music by the pool, you can only order Drinks by the pool via wechat which didn‘t work for me - it kept telling to write my phone number, which I did and I still couldn‘t order. Sometimes there were workers at the pool who would bring drinks, but not everyday. Same at the beach, which is public so be prepared for people trying to Sell you stuff (mostly drinks or fruits). There is a food court nearby with some restaurants and that‘s it. There is only one restaurant with buffet for the whole hotel. For dinner, the buffet is transfered on the beach and costed 200 yuan on top which i think is a lot ( i think it was close to 400 yuan per person per dinner). The food was good and while everything looked nice, I have to say that the choice of music while the singers were preparing was horrible. Extremly loud and in no way fitting for a nice dinner at the beach. The beach bar for drinks after dinner was poorly organized, we sat down and were completely ignored while the staff was chatting and sitting on their phones behind the bar. Only when my fiance went up to them, they served us (warm beer btw) and didn‘t even clean the table with food from the people sitting before us. And here as well, horrible music which repeats every night. The rooms were pretty, but had their best years behind them. The staff couldn‘t speak english at all (maybe russian because I think every foreigner was russian except us) so communication was a little bit draining with translator. There was one worker, I think her name was Luna (not sure) which was really attentive and nice and when she was there, the service was always good. Since we have stayed in other hilton hotels, I have to say that in comparison this one wasn‘t as amazing as the others for a resort.

After comparing several hotels for a week-long stay, considering factors like room age, kids' activities, and beach access, I ultimately chose the Hualuxe's 180-degree sea view suite. The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for families with children. The room facilities were new and spotlessly clean, which thrilled my little one! Initially, I was a bit worried about the distance from the hotel to the beach, but after experiencing it, I found it to be incredibly close—just a two to three-minute walk. Although the beach is a public area, the hotel sets up its own sun loungers for guests, so the experience isn't compromised at all! Plus, the section of the beach closest to the hotel is where many water sports activities are available, so you can dive right in without having to walk far at all!!! The hotel's own swimming pool is also fantastic. It's a large area, great for photos, and never too crowded, making for a wonderful experience! Additionally, the hotel provides a dedicated butler service. Our butler, Beibei, was incredibly responsive to all our needs and proactively informed us about the hotel's family activities, allowing us to plan our time in advance—very accommodating! The hotel's kids' areas and activities are truly extensive. On the first and second floors, there are indoor and outdoor playgrounds and water parks, as well as an unlimited mini-train ride, which was a huge hit with the children! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. A special thanks again to Butler Beibei for the excellent service!

My friends and I spontaneously decided to take a trip, and this is the hotel we chose. I absolutely have to give a strong recommendation for this hidden gem! Its location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with such warmth by the staff. The hotel's restaurant is also worth raving about. For dinner, I tried their signature dishes, and the flavors were simply divine – fresh ingredients, unique cooking methods, and every dish was unforgettable. Our entire stay was truly wonderful, making us feel completely at home. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I get the chance.

The price was excellent, and the room was incredibly spacious. The 180-degree sea view truly lived up to its reputation, making for a very pleasant stay. The location is fantastic, with the beach and sea just across the road, which is incredibly convenient. The staff were also very warm, enthusiastic, and attentive. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could upgrade its beach facilities, such as the loungers and parasols. We were a little envious of the neighboring hotel's beach setup. Despite this, we were very satisfied overall.

As a solo traveler, I did a lot of research and read many guides before coming to Sanya, and I ultimately chose The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya, Yalong Bay! I truly believe I made the right choice! My priorities were: 1) direct beach access, 2) peace and quiet, 3) high-quality beach, 4) cleanliness, and 5) excellent service. **Facilities:** * **Front Desk/Lobby:** Although the overall architectural style evokes the Summer Palace, the soft furnishings, with their Mediterranean color palette, create a strong vacation vibe. As soon as I got out of the car, a doorman proactively helped with my luggage, and staff presented me with The Ritz-Carlton's signature shell necklace. Check-in and check-out are handled separately. I visited in September, which is off-peak season, so there was no queue, and I was checked in very quickly! Plus, the front desk always smells of Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume – chic! * **Room:** I booked the Ritz Executive Ocean View King Bed room. Since the hotel's architecture is symmetrical, the Ritz Executive wing is on the right, connected by corridors. I stayed in room 2510, where '2' indicates the building, '5' the floor, and '10' the room number. When I entered the room, I was amazed! It was incredibly beautiful, clean, and tidy! The hallway upon entry faced the ocean view balcony. To the left was the washroom, and further in was a soft and comfortable king bed. Near the balcony were an L-shaped sofa and a dining table, with the TV and mini-bar to the right. There were also lounge chairs on the balcony. The complimentary mini-bar drinks were more than enough for one person... The housekeeping staff even left beautiful large seashells every day! * **Restaurants:** I mainly visited the breakfast restaurant and the Chinese restaurant. The breakfast restaurant offered a wide and complete selection of food, with dishes updated daily. The best, though, was the sour and spicy seafood noodles! I recommend going early, as it gets crowded and you might have to wait for a table if you go later. The staff at the Chinese restaurant were also very friendly; they would kindly advise on portion sizes based on the number of people to avoid waste! * **Pools:** All the pools were very clean, and there was public sunscreen available for guests by the pools, which I thought was a great touch 👍 because I hadn't brought any, haha. * **Beach:** The beach directly in front of The Ritz-Carlton has quite a few rocks, but you can take the hotel shuttle to the adjacent beach, which has fine sand and clear water – absolutely beautiful! The only downside is the lack of outdoor shower facilities. * **Gym:** Well-equipped and clean, it's open 24 hours but requires a room key card for evening entry. It's usually quiet, and there are some handsome men working out! * **Kids Club:** It's relatively small and located with the travel photography area. One of the reasons I chose The Ritz-Carlton was precisely because it's not primarily a family-focused resort, making it quieter! **Cleanliness:** Generally very clean. The only negative point is that if you request housekeeping on your check-out day, the staff won't come... they'll definitely wait until after you've checked out... I had my butler chase them several times on my check-out morning, but no one came to clean. **Environment:** The overall ambiance is grand and spacious. Both the rooms and the public areas are expansive. The downside is that by the time I walked from my room to the diagonally opposite gym, I no longer felt like working out 😂. **Service:** Upon check-in, I received complimentary mini-bar drinks, snacks, and a fruit plate. They always give out seashells, and at check-out, I even received a lion-themed keychain as a souvenir. Also, a big shout-out to my butler, Jennie, a lovely girl! Her responses were incredibly quick, and she was always willing to help with anything I needed! **💗 Overall:** The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya, Yalong Bay is better suited for a relaxing vacation. It's quiet, comfortable, offers good privacy, and has fewer activities, making it perfect for someone like me who just wants to chill out and avoid commotion.
