Hotels in Wuzhizhou Island, Sanya

Our family of five, spanning three generations, stayed in two king-bedded rooms. Let's start with the positives: The hotel's location on the island is fantastic, and the island environment itself is beautiful, especially during the quieter mornings and evenings when there are fewer crowds. The service within the scenic area also deserves a special mention. When one of our elderly family members injured their foot, a staff supervisor went out of their way to provide a wheelchair, which was incredibly considerate. Now for the less impressive aspects: To avoid hassle, we opted for the hotel's buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The selection was quite limited. While the rice noodles and fried noodles were acceptable, the desserts and drinks were subpar and certainly not worth the price. However, since it was just a one-night stay, we managed to make do. Furthermore, the room amenities weren't brand new, but the room itself was a good size, offering decent value for money. My main gripe, though, concerns the booking issue. We reserved two twin-bedded rooms late the night before our arrival on the island. However, on the day of check-in, Trip.com (Ctrip) called to inform us that twin rooms were unavailable, and only king rooms remained. They implied that the hotel *could* provide an extra bed, but we'd be charged an additional 500 or 600 RMB (I can't recall the exact figure) for it. We were also told we could cancel our booking if we wished. Essentially, twin beds were simply not an option. The hotel itself never directly communicated with us during this process; all communication was handled by Trip.com. Eventually, after about 4-5 phone calls, Trip.com offered us approximately 300 RMB worth of their loyalty points as compensation. As we were traveling with a family and didn't want the hassle of last-minute itinerary changes, we decided to make do. To add insult to injury, after everything had supposedly been resolved, another Trip.com customer service agent called and started the entire conversation from scratch, completely unaware of the prior discussions. In summary: I'd definitely return to Wuzhizhou Island, but I won't be staying at the Coral Hotel again.

Every June, I go on a birthday trip, and this year I chose Sanya, Hainan. For my actual birthday, I wanted a more luxurious stay, so I booked a wooden lodge at the Coral Hotel on Wuzhizhou Island. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was – it far exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless, and through the large glass doors, I could gaze out at the forest and the ocean. The view was absolutely spectacular. The lodge and the surrounding hotel grounds offered expansive tropical sea views. The environment was fantastic, vibrantly colorful, and made for excellent photos! The hotel's service was outstanding, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. They even surprised me with a huge birthday cake, making it a truly joyful birthday! Electric carts provided seamless transfers from the boat dock to the hotel and back. Driver Cai Mifei frequently picked us up from our lodge, taking us to the lobby and the pier. His service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. He also helped us with luggage storage, which we greatly appreciated. Before our departure, concierge Xiao Kong also provided excellent service, escorting us to the car for our transfer to the pier. We had an absolutely wonderful time on Wuzhizhou Island. With such beautiful scenery and a fantastic hotel, it was truly hard to leave. We definitely plan to come back again!

Perfect little place to stay with a balcony and view of the bay. Nice pool and sun lounging area. Fridge full of cold drinks. Hotel also has an in-house surf instructor crew if you want to try surfing. Room very clean, shower excellent. It’s located in the “quiet end” of the beachside street, so no excessive noise from the bars. All round, very good!

The room is spacious and bright, facing the sea view directly, the view is first-class! The service of the service staff is OK. The hotel's food and beverage products are good, and the price-performance ratio is high in the scenic area! There is a beach in front of the hotel, where you can surf, which is convenient and suitable for children to play! The waves in Houhai are very suitable for children to learn surfing. Overall, the experience of this scenic spot is still good. I will continue to choose it for my next family trip.

Absolutely fantastic! The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly. What's more, being able to open the door and gaze at the stunning sea view was just wonderful. The food around Houhai was also delicious – I've truly fallen in love with this place! In the evenings, there were free performances that we could watch right from the comfort of our bed, which was incredibly relaxing. Spending the afternoon paddleboarding was also wonderfully pleasant and such a joy! 😄

The location, ambiance, and facilities were all absolutely superb! The service attitude and quality, in particular, were outstanding – truly fantastic and incredibly accommodating, always ready to assist. The only minor drawback was the air conditioner's placement in the pool room, as it blew directly onto the bed. I hope this can be improved for future visits!

I want to especially thanks the hotel receptionists that kindly offered me two blankets because I was cold although the room doesn’t have a heater. I booked for two nights but stayed only one night and they kindly gave me a refund for one night because the place was cold for me. Also, one of the hotel staffs was very friendly and kindly helped me to get a shuttle bus when I was trying to get a Didi. Thank you for your great services.

Qianxun, I chose this place because of its reputation, and it lived up to its reputation and did not disappoint me. First of all, the homestay provides self-service fully automatic washing machines, and clothes hangers are provided on the fourth floor for drying clothes. The rooftop of the fourth floor is a children's swimming pool, which is very safe and the water is very clean. The children had a lot of fun playing in it! After playing for a long time, it suddenly rained, and I hurried back to collect the clothes. After arriving at the homestay, I found that I had asked the owner to collect the clothes before it rained! I really think the owner is very thoughtful and considerate! And the facilities of the homestay are impeccable, the room is large enough, the shower water is sufficient and powerful, the smart toilet, disposable bath towels and towels, the bedding is really comfortable, and it feels like a five-star sleep! Definitely a five-star rating! Worth a rush

Location: the hotel is very close to all the places in Houhai, it’s nearby party street. Depends if you like it or not. It is located between two buildings and most of the windows are facing walls so there is no daylight in the room. The photos show rooms full of light which is totally different in real life. There is a construction site next to the hotel so from 9:00 to late hours it’s very loud. Room: unfortunately we have chosen a small room which was claustrophobic. It was very dark because the window was facing the wall and the entire room was super smelly! I couldn’t breathe and sleep because of the cigarettes smell. Cleanliness: everything was clean and tidy. Service: staff is helpful and friendly.

What a little gem hidden inside this village! Reception helped me to get from the opposite side of the village where I had been staying previously to the homestay by shuttle. She was kind and helpful and even though I had come in to check in early, she allowed me to go tour and put my luggage into my room when it was ready. The room was so pretty and clean and had a very Greek vibe to it. White and comforting. I loved it. The view was amazing and I slept with the curtains and window open, and it was the most peaceful sleep ever. Even though the the bathroom area was toilet and shower in one space ( I usually shy away from rooms like that) it was so clean I didn’t feel gross being in the same space. This homestay is incredibly clean and tidy. I hope that you will keep the same level of cleanliness and excellent servicing in the future! Just one small mention, perhaps the glass on the big windows can be cleaned, however I know the sea mist makes it dirty. I hope to come back here because it was a wonderful place to stay
