Mangrove Tree Resort World Sanya Bay (Buddha Tower) Reviews

It's a very big and comfortable room. From counter staff varied with service. A few showed helpfulness. Some simply don't respond well. Nevertheless, we enjoyed staying there. Provided free to and fro Nanshan Guanyin and DFS which surprised us. Location is easily accessible to tram and bus. Costs is reasonable too.

Location is great and hotel room is spacious. However it need an upgrade as facilities are very old and maintenance is poor.

NOT A 5* RESORT!! I booked this place to relax for 4 days in a nice 5* resort (as advertised). It was the worst experience I’ve had in my 5 weeks in China by far. Terrible check in service, the hotel is definitely not 5* (as other reviews confirm as well), they broke my suitcase at check out and their response was pretty much “we didn’t mean to, deal with it, we’ll give you a room upgrade when you come back”…. It is a massive empty space, poorly maintained, hard to find anything, most staff is unfriendly, the room is smelly, uncomfortable bed, etc.

Really old resort back in early 2000s. Many idle facilities left to rot collecting dust. Breakfast buffet is heavily chinese oriented as expected. Not much suits even for our south east asian taste buds. The water park is quite sad because they make it seemed bigger than it actually is from promotional photos. And yes it is equally old water park. Location is very close to the train station so thats a plus point for us doing short stay in Sanya.

This hotel is incredibly comfortable with spacious and scenic rooms. The staff is extremely friendly, offering a warm welcome from check-in with delicious tea and a bowl of fresh fruit in the room. I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again when staying in downtown Sanya.

Best place for you and your family in Sanya at least stay for 4 nights or more you will enjoy, also I want to tell you that Miss Zhang is the best hospitality in Buddha tower , the rooms are clean as pictures the. View wonderful the facilitates all available swimming pool amazing every thing perfect 10/10 rate them

Need to work on their cleaniness of the room and the pool!!!! For people going there in the night itll be convenient to use the welcome service. Need to work on their english for front staffs also be more gentle and active for helping customers!!! except these this hotel is full of activities and is 100% recommended for family trip. 

Very nice and big bedroom with good staff. Sanya railway station is about less than 10 minutes by taxi.

Huge resort with many facilities like supermarket, KFC, water park and resturants. Staffs service are average. Rooms are big but the floor seem to be dusty.

The hotel from which due to its price and some other reviews we expected the least, turned out to be the best to a point that if we ever decide to go back to Sanya it would probably be one of our top choices. We only booked for one night before our early morning flight but it turned out to be a very positive surprise. Mangrove resort is a set of separate towers making a circle inside of which is a water park and a lot of bars, shops and restaurants. Each tower has its own pools, which in case of Buddha Tower were located on the third floor terrace and were quite decent although I guess in peak times they might feel too small for all the rooms in the tower. Still when we used it, it was more than okay. The rooms are a bit old, shower door is creaking like it has serious arthritis, but overall it was a good and very functional room with a nice view of the pool, water park and the inner courtyard. High point of this place is that it feels like you and your kids could do something here for days. Bars, restaurants, live music, pottery workshop, a really cool dinosaur museum, water park, art workshops and probably more we haven't even discovered are all inside the resort's area.
