"Very old hotel, excellent location, 6 minutes walk from Havent train station
It’s very good to walk around the town in the morning. There is a Chinese restaurant on the corner of the hotel that provides take-out.
Public transport from London to Havent is more difficult (train, bus, train)"

"If you are looking for some quiet time away, this is a peacefully located hotel.
The ambience is calming, and the reception team is welcoming, not to mention the many look-out spots to watch the boats in the harbour.
I came to this hotel 10 years ago on a girls' trip, and as i was looking for somewhere to go again, i came across this hotel and thought i would mark my 10-year anniversary. And i must say nothing has changed. Having said that, i do think it's time for a renovation as the decor is becoming dated. The exterior of the building, along with the windows, needs cleaning and fresh paint. The cleaning team needs to pay closer attention to details. Also, when a room have been cleaned and locked up for some time, they need to bare in mind that it will acquire dust built up, and upon issuing it to a guest it need to be freshen up.
Overall, it's a lovely, quiet place away from the rush and hustle of london, and i would recommend it, and i will visit again in the future!"
"Nice room and helpful staff. Manager very polite and accommodating.
Very useful to have a bath and shower.
Breakfast was adequate and flexible.
I cannot comment on the restaurant as we did not try the food. We were pre-warned not to and online reviews rated them 15th out of 17 local places.
A little shocked on the last night when a glass of wine with a splash... and a double Vodka & orange cordial cost £20. Definitely would not drink there again.
We would certainly consider staying again if in the area."
