"When I arrived at the hotel, it looked very nice and modern, so I was expecting the rooms to be the same. In the hallways there was a smell of insecticide – this is very common in India, it happened to me in several places. We entered the room and they had only given us one towel for two people; I called reception and they brought us another one. The bathroom was full of mold and the room itself was very old. The bed was too soft, as if the mattress was already very old. Breakfast only had Indian options with very spicy food. The service is fine, but I don’t think the price is worth it for the room."

"Wonderful hotel in the middle of the city of New Delhi. Location is great, clean and safe area with lots of trees around. 10-15 minutes walk to local markets. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good, many choices, western and Asian food. Highly recommended. 🙏🙏"

"Lovely heritage hotel. Beautiful building and very friendly and attentive service. Perhaps sometimes a little too much. Pool was lovely and food delicious. Rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Only gripe was that the WiFi connection was not easy to connect to, took a long time and when eventually connected actually quite slow. Other than this would highly recommend. Beautiful gardens and some fun animals to see around"

Seriously, the moment I walked in, I thought I’d accidentally stumbled onto a Miss India pageant rehearsal. I was half-expecting a judge to pop up and ask me to rate their smiles! Now let’s address the food. Oh, bhai! The food here should come with a warning label: “Caution: May cause uncontrollable drooling!” One bite, and I was hooked. I think I ate enough biryani to feed an entire wedding party! I mean, I was so full, I considered rolling out of the dining room like a giant samosa. Bring your elastic-waist pants because you’ll need them, trust me! And those beds! I lay down and entered a sleep coma that lasted a whole month. When I finally woke up, I felt like a bear who had just come out of hibernation—hairy, grumpy, and wondering where all the food went! I was so well-rested that I thought I could run a marathon or at least walk to the fridge without feeling tired! So, if you’re looking for a place where beauty meets deliciousness and where beds are softer than a paratha fresh off the tawa, the Lalit Hotel is the place to be! Just remember to come with an empty stomach and a sense of humor, so you can laugh off those extra kilos you’ll definitely gain.
