Hotels in Termini Central Station, Rome

I have stayed at Hotel Stromboli a number of times and I’ve always had great service and the best guaranteed value for my budget. I’m a solo senior female traveller on a budget and I’m too old to stay in a hostel. The hotel is great it has a bathroom with a bidet and all the amenities for solo travel like a kettle, fridge. It means you can make hot drinks and snacks in your room without breaking your budget. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t provide feedback for that. My room was very comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and new sheets/ towels provided. There is no view from my room this time but when I’ve stayed on 3rd floor I’ve had a view. I’m staying on floor 1 this time and I’ve not stayed on this floor before. I have air conditioner so it’s fairly cool. Rome is extremely hot right now. I choose to stay in this hotel because of its proximity to all the sites, museums and central termini. Today I did a day trip to Napoli and it’s a very good hotel for getting to and from the station and airport. The airport bus is just outside. I will continue to stay here as it’s a safe good place to stay in Rome on a budget. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby plus a water fountain! The bathroom was spacious, and the service was excellent; they even helped us split the king-size bed into two separate beds. The overall space was remarkably large for a European hotel, and it was very clean. The location was super convenient for getting around, and the air conditioning worked well – a big plus!

This hotel is a pleasant surprise accommodation right next to the Termini Train Station. It’s a little different from most hotels I’ve stayed at in Rome and very affordable. Staff is friendly and the breakfast was served in a very comfortable setting and lots of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome

There is also a big supermarket nearby🛍️, [偷笑R][买爆R] There is also a McDonald's next to the supermarket! You can buy chocolate🍫 and fresh fruits to enjoy at the hotel🍓🍒～Supermarket👉🏻📍Interspar Supermercato🛒🛍️

The facilities are a bit old and the room is quite small. However, the service is warm and friendly. It's very close to the train station, about a 15-minute walk, which makes it super convenient for a city walk to explore the ancient Roman area.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was disappointing. The lady receptionist who checked us in on the evening of 29 Dec 2025 came across as quite rude when I asked about the room I had booked. I paid more for a specific room configuration (1 double bed + 1 single bed), but was instead given a smaller room with only a queen-size bed, which did not match my booking. While the hotel offered complimentary welcome drinks to compensate, there was still around €50 price difference compared to the room I originally booked, so the gesture didn’t fully make up for the inconvenience. That said, credit where it’s due — the male receptionist on the morning shift was very helpful and professional in assisting with settling the room arrangement. On a positive note, breakfast was the highlight of the stay — genuinely the best part 😝

It was relatively close to the central station, and it was possible to walk to the hotel with a heavy suitcase. There was a restaurant on the first floor at night, but the road in front of it was busy with cars and people, so it was noisy even when trying to sleep. There was a reasonable variety for breakfast, and the yogurt was very creamy and delicious. There was a mini supermarket on the other side of the road, which was convenient for buying water and anything else we needed. Unfortunately there was no water at the Trevi Fountain as it was under construction. I was so tired on the way back from the Pantheon that I took an Uber taxi, but it only took about 10 to 15 minutes to get there. It was convenient for getting to anywhere.

The room is clean, people are very comfortable, good breakfast! The hotel is antique but they have been well treated, inside the bathroom finds the toothpaste, dental stick, soap, etc. There is no mini bar. The night is very quiet. The area near the University, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, very easy to add to the bus, metro. Excellent quality- price, I advise you!

This hotel has a long history. I booked a single room but got a double room instead. Although it didn't face the street, it had a window opening onto an inner courtyard. The rooftop restaurant has a great ambiance, and breakfast there is particularly enjoyable. It's not far from Termini train station, and you can even walk to the Colosseum.
