The location is next to a bar / pub that close at 3am from Sunday to Thursday and at 4am on Friday and Saturday, the noise is so loud and clear even I stay on the 3rd floor. Please avoid this place unless you want a night with only 2 hours sleep then need to wake up early to catch the morning flight

Great social hostel and in a prime spot in downtown queenstown. The beds were metal bunks so squeaky and not super comfortable, along with no plugs at the beds themselves. Even with that in mind I highly recommend as the staff are amazing and the people I met there are top tier.

I stayed in a room for 10 people and the room was spacious. The staff were very helpful.

Very dirty and old facilities, staff not helpful and told me he couldn't find my booking which scared me a lot. I don't know where I can stay if he can not find my booking.

Good place to stay if you are traveling solo. Location is perfect, kitchen and sofa area are big, customer service was responding immediately

A great experience for a female solo traveler. I Pros I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day). The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy. The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash). Cons This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close. Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.

The staff was very friendly and the price was reasonable but the room I got was right across the bar and people partied til 3 am when it’s Friday or weekends… impossible to fall asleep. I think I won’t stay here for sure next time ;(

The location is good, the kitchen is small, the lounge is big and is separated but connected with kitchen. Was there for about 7 days, the bunk I was allocated had a broken rail, reported to the receptionist later but was not fixed and Noone updated me later or offered another bunk. I hardly cooked in there due to the size of the kitchen and busyness. The people in the dorm room would leave the lights off and sleep all day and all night which created bit of a trouble and due to the broken rail created noise when getting on ND off bunk upsetting French guy underneath my bunk. It felt like lot of long termers are staying in the hostel and the guy who was underneath my bunk was working who worked late night and did not like when I turned the lights on before check out so I could pack. He was really abusive. I reported that later to reception so staffs told me that they will speak to the guy.

Great and convenient location and very friendly staffs. The wifi could be a bit slow and the balcony are shared between 2 private rooms, so dont be shocked.

Nice place. As usual hostel style. Convenient. Clean the private room
