I had an exceptional stay at Petit Palau during five days recently. The whole staff was friendly, sincere and always welcoming, including the breakfast and cleaning personnel. There are many things to praise, but a few things deserve to be highlighted. First of all the bed, it was fantastic, super comfortable! The shower was modern and had a luxurious touch to it. The overall cleanliness of the hotel should be mentioned, it was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was varied, delicious and healthy with an assortment of fresh fruits and local produce in addition to all else that was included. Lastly, since Blanes was blessed with warm, sunny spring weather during my stay, I had the pleasure of enjoying it from my private 6th floor balcony with rooftop views! While the location is excellent , numerous aspects , such as room design , service efficiency and overall guest experience need significant improvement to meet the expectations associated with its rating. The bedrooms are small and have an impractical layout, featuring separate cubicles for the toilet and shower. The privacy offered by the corrugated glass doors is limiting, and having the wash- hand basin located in the bedroom creates awkwardness for those sharing. Storage is minimal,( a simple rail and a couple of narrow shelves) , leading to a cluttered feel. Overall the design choice detracts significantly from comfort and convenience. The public areas aim for a trendy aesthetic , the bar is cool , but uninviting , it was empty most evenings . The breakfast room layout is stylish but impractical , becoming congested during peak times. The absence of table service leads to long queues for coffee and hot food. On two mornings , the broken Nespresso Machines , of which there were only two , further compounded the inconvenience, making the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable . The roof terrace , felt cramped and cluttered , and here again service was lacking with only one staff member on duty to manage the bar and general tidying up. The pool is very narrow and unsuitable for swimming. Although the staff are pleasant , they are desperately in need of leadership. There was no manager on duty during our stay. Overall this hotel fails to deliver a five -star experience , leaving much to be desired in terms of hotel design , organisation and guest experience.

Overall it was a good stay. Good location of the hotel, the beach and the city center are not far away, you can do almost everything on foot for the more sporty like me. Food not bad but not much choice. The services offered such as the spa and swimming pool are great for taking a break from a day full of sightseeing. Room very good except small downside the very dusty floor I could not be comfortable and barefoot in my room. Otherwise thank you for the welcome of the hostesses, very kind cleaning lady!

A simply sublime retreat at Camiral. Upon arrival the stunning elegance of a PGA golf course blended with the serenity of local nature greets you. The resort’s beauty and impeccable service offered our family the most unforgettable experience! Meticulously maintained and also offering the most gorgeous wellness center with incredible, extensive services, all set in an exquisite, tranquil setting! Divine! We thoroughly enjoyed the array of onsite restaurants offering many delicious dining options. The resorts accommodation is the epitome of luxury and comfort with stunning architecture, decor and views! The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this beautiful resort! Personalized service throughout our stay made us feel so truly welcome and we had such a restful and rejuvenating time there. Great environment for relax. We had planned only a basic Spa treatment. However, we decided to try new experiences from the wide offer of treatments since we were really satisfied. The hotel staff are caring professionals. What to say about food? We have always enjoyed the gastronomy offered at the Vichy's Restaurant. Just go and check it out for yourself.

I’d like to start with the positives, although there aren’t many, and each comes with a caveat. The lady at the front desk is great. Her manner is impeccable, and she always speaks with courtesy and professionalism. She handles everything with ease and a positive attitude. It’s clear she takes great pride in her work, but she can only work with what is given to her. The hotel features a spa with a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and jacuzzi. However, when we visited, the sauna was not working, so we were left with only three functional amenities. On the upside, the spa was quiet during our visit, which allowed us to enjoy some peaceful moments. The location of the hotel is another highlight. It’s set in a tranquil, picturesque mountain area, providing a beautiful and serene environment, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. However, there were several disappointments during our stay. The hotel is advertised as an adult-only establishment, but this was far from reality. Over our three-day stay, we frequently saw children running around, using scooters, and dining at the restaurant. When we raised this issue with the staff, they informed us that children were only permitted in the restaurant. Despite this, we noticed a family staying in one of the rooms (between rooms 11 to 15, though we aren’t sure which exact room). From the pool area, we could clearly hear a little girl screaming, which directly contradicted the hotel’s adult-only policy as advertised on their website in CAPITAL LETTERS. Our experience was further soured by a shockingly unpleasant check-in. We arrived at 9 PM to find no lights guiding us to the reception and no staff to assist us. There was a man behind the desk at a computer, who took his time getting up and did not greet us or say good evening. Although he found our booking, he struggled to assign us a room, leaving us standing at reception for at least 20 minutes while he sorted it out. Parking was another issue. The hotel is supposed to reserve parking spots separately for hotel guests and restaurant customers, but this policy was neither respected nor enforced. This lack of organisation added to our frustration. It seems the hotel is desperate for money and willing to compromise every principle it was supposedly founded on. The room itself was very basic, offering only towels and shampoo. There wasn’t even a box of tissues provided. The room had a strange smell and felt extremely plain and unwelcoming. The daily room cleaning service consisted of new towels, and that's about where it ended. Finally, we had lunch in the hotel restaurant. Options for vegetarians were limited; however, the food was very good. Compliments to the chef, who is let down massively by appalling service. We could hear the waitstaff swearing and complaining to each other, as well as having conversations about former employees—completely unprofessional. This was our third stay at the Elke Hotel and I don't usually write reviews as I stay at many hotels but this hotel is a jewel. A very good example of a four star hotel that deserves five stars. It has the right balance between privacy and amicable and honest service. Eugenia in particular has been wonderful every time we come. She is pleasant, helpful and good at her job. Also a big shout out for the rest of the reception team and the breakfast manageress - who remembered what we liked and made sure we had perfectly cooked fresh fried eggs every morning. The place and room are spotless and clean, welcoming and nice and new yet warm. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Even though we had to change hotels for the last night of our stay in San Feliu as the were closing down for a few days after Christmas so the staff could spend time with their families for the holidays, we respect that as it shows management appreciates its staff . Thank you again for a wonderful stay. Oh and the Spa is fantastic - new and very clean and welcoming.
