Homewood Suites by Hilton Providence Downtown Reviews

The hotel is in a super great location, just a 5-minute walk from Providence train station. The hotel receptionist was very nice to help our check-in process very fast. The washing machine and dryer facilities are located on the 7th floor. 30mins use cost $2 (need to change quarter coins at reception. Detergent is also available at reception costing $2). The room is large and cozzy, comfortable and extremely big king size bed. The sofa bed is not that comfortable but the blanket is very comfortable. Japanese supermarket Maruichi is just a 7-minute walk distance, where sells frozen, fresh food, grocery, and ready to eat sushi and rice. The hotel staff suggested to go to Trader Joe's, which is 1 mile away, to have more fruits and vegetable choices. The 7-Eleven runs 24hrs just right at the corner, so shopping is very convenient. The breakfast has a wide range of variety: cereal, bagel, toast, pancake, juice, coffee, fruit, yogurt, sausage, fried or boiled eggs. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from hotel to Brown University and RISD. There are many steep slopes along the way, but the view of the city from the commanding heights is very beautiful. Great location, good breakfast combos, proximity to everything in the city, friendly staff and maintenance team, rooms are clean and the kitchen is well equipped with all you need to make any type of meal for 4 to 5 people. The fridge is family size. The elevator is swift and well maintained- I have been in a hotel that the elevator took for ever to travel up and down, the wait time was frustrating mostly during morning breakfast rush hours. Just so you know, breakfast is free. Parking is not free, but valet service on site. I will recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Providence. We enjoyed our stay!

Great location, in downtown providence, nice and clean, we had a two queen beds and a sofa bed, very relaxing!

This is Hilton's hotel in downtown Providence, close to Providence and the West Bank. The Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University campuses are on the east bank of the river, which is very convenient. There is a park on the west side of the hotel, and the City Hall is at the other end of the park. Macy's is one intersection away. There is a Starbucks not far downstairs, and the state legislature is also located there. It is very convenient. The surrounding area is mature. The hotel has a high-end space design, with a small kitchen, a large space, a lobby on the second floor, and breakfast on the second floor, which is very comfortable. The service process is simple and fast.

This is probably the closest hotel to Brown University. It's by the river, and after crossing the bridge is the ramp to Brown University. The room is large and spacious. The view outside the window is also very good. If I go to Providence again, I will probably stay in this hotel again.

Except for the indifference of a female service staff at the front desk, everything else was fine. Maybe the hotel in the small town is a bit resistant to outsiders! I don't care. I need to remind you that when depositing a credit card at the front desk, you can only use the magnetic strip of the credit card. If the chip and card can be operated, even if you enter the correct password, it will still show that the transaction is unsuccessful.
