The ROOM is not user-friendly. The spaces inside are not well distributed.
The hangers don't fit well in the "open wardrobe", the AC can't be controlled, the water pressure from the sink is very low and the coffee machine inside the drawer is almost hidden inside.
The LOCATION is good if you plan to go to city center (bolhao market) but not convenient if you wish to go to Ribeira by waking.
The entrance to the parking space (20€ per night) is very tiny and not easy to access; they didn't park the car for us as most hotels do.
For 1 night we had no hot water and we had to take cold shower.
We didn't receive any welcome kit (usually they give you a sweet, a small pastel de nata, but they didn't to us).
Breakfast is a small buffet with limited options.
The entire experience at this hotel is definitely not worth the money they charge p/night, roughly 125€.

The room is very simple but the space is quite large. The location is a bit remote but it is a relatively quiet area. There is a beautiful outdoor atrium shared with the hotel of the same brand next door. When you check in on the same day, you may encounter many people arriving at the same time. Having only one front desk guy will test everyone's patience. After all, even the Italians behind you can't stand it (ha). In other words, there is a very enthusiastic guy who will greet you during breakfast. The overall atmosphere is good, and the people who live here are also quite special. There are many retired people and many young people who look like backpackers.

Beautiful and large rooms, very comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. We received complementary pastel de nata and port wines. Location is also great, close to the city and walking distance to the public transport. Definitely recommend

Lovely hotel in good location but the stars are the staff. I had air conditioning issue and tv issue and they sorted both out quickly which is sign of good service. Gabe the young man in the bar, only 18, serving drinks, snacks and taking dinner orders on his own was very happy, cheerful and professional. He should be promoted. Angelo on reception does a 1st class job as does Vania - her handwritten welcome notes really make a guest feel special. Thank you from a solo traveler.

Very nice hotel, good rooms and breakfast, with the exception of the coffee machine which was difficult to use and also faulty most days. Staff were generally lovely with the exception of one person who dealt with breakfast/ coffee machine and also was part of the team during the early part of the national power outage. He was not helpful atall in what was a worrying situation for all. The rest of the staff were generally very good. The hotel location is good, only a fairly short walk to the centre. I would recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Editory Garden. Not only the hotel has very modern and cool vibes and rooms, but the staff was phenomenal, the breakfast was very good, and even though the hotel is not in the city centre, you are just a 15-min walk away from main attractions. We arrived the day of the country's blackout, and despite the lack of electricity and challenges posed by this situation, the staff members did everything they could to make us feel welcome during those 6-7 hours we ended up staying at their garden. As many restaurants were closed or only taking cash, they rapidly improvised a BBQ for guests, which saved our lives that night! Thanks for everything!!

Super nice hotel with a beautiful courtyard, nice and luxurious rooms and a very friendly staff. Plus a great location in the middle of the city. I'll definitely be back next time I am in Porto. Thank you to the whole team for making the stay so amazing.

Hotel is immaculate. Staff are incredible, nothing is too much trouble. Francesca, Rafael, Tiago and Vania went above and beyond to help us. Couldn’t praise this hotel enough. We are both pensioners and didn’t know where to start with our city break. We were given all the information. Tiago spent a long time booking our train to Lisbon, we couldn’t have done this without him.

Really enjoyed our stay the place is lovely but a few issues. Shower cubicle is very slippy when wet I slipped in there but fortunately did not hurt myself but someone else might end up severely hurting themselves. Needs a non slip mat of some description. We used one of the small towels which helped. The TV which is linked to the internet kept freezing and the only way to get it working again was to remove and replace the room card. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The hot items were limited and luke warm. There was only bacon( always stood in oil on the warming plate), fried or scrambled egg and a vegetable mix. The continental choice was a little better. The hotel staff from reception to the room staff great and helpful. The garden area look spectacular but we were unable to enjoy it due to inclement weather. One word of warning though this hotel is not ideal for infirm or elderly people who don't like to walk far as the only way to get to it is up steep cobbled hills. The hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walk from nearest Metro but is up the hill. Overall an enjoyable visit but would look for somewhere lower down the hills.
