Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen Resort Reviews

Amazing location in the heart of Playa Del Carmen! Walkable to 5th Ave and all the central shops, but you also get direct beach access and the feeling of being in a quiet resort once you enter the property. The hotel itself is stunning and the rooms were clean (they didn’t have slippers when we went). The facilities were a bit crowded and there are lots of children, but we still enjoyed everything. Since it’s quite busy, the service can be slow at times, but everyone was friendly. The best part about the property was the included breakfast buffet. So many fresh options and everything was delicious! We also used the provided bikes a few times to explore the city and it was a great time. They had an included city bike tour which was really fun :)

Service at reception/ lobby is fantastic, helpful and friendly. Also at the pool, staff tries to do their best as many people order and I think they need more staff to service everyone. However, at the restaurant ‘La cocina’ for breakfast as well as Dinner at the Sushi restaurant: service was pretty slow, even some dishes were forgotten and we had cancelled, some food arrived cold — needs to improve the table service. I didn’t appreciate that most of the weekly activities scheduled needed extra $. Need proper beach place to walk along. Is fun they have an arcade for extra entertainment.

The hotel is great, but we had some difficulties with the service. It took a while and sometimes we had to ask for the same thing 5 times. It needs some renovation. But nothing too bad. The location is wonderful. It gives access to the main street.

Nothing is free in the hotel... The most outrageous thing is the ATM. It charges more than 30 USD for withdrawing 200 USD. It's outrageous.

The set sea view king bed room has a pretty good view. Great service! Restaurant food is ok too! The breakfast buffet is not the same every day, praise! Because I am on a diving trip, I am in a hurry every day, and it is wonderful to stop in the sun of the hotel! ! Friendly reminder, pay attention to mosquito bites, I was bitten by an unknown bug in the room, and I was quite sticky! !

Not good. From the environment to the service, the waiter's service is not good and he doesn't ask for a tip. There are many hidden costs. Parking is 400peso a night. When checking out, there is an additional service fee of more than 500. I don't know where the service fee comes from.
