It was nice though the rooms felt crammed. To give the suit.the 2 bedroom space with living room, there was not enough room to walk around the bed and close/open the doors

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale with my family of 4 for five nights, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a reputable hotel chain. The biggest issue was the complete lack of housekeeping service during our entire stay. Not once in five nights did anyone come to clean the room, take out trash, refresh towels, or replace toiletries—even after we made daily requests to the front desk. Each day, we politely asked for housekeeping, and each day we were assured it would be taken care of. But nothing happened. It became clear that these requests were either being ignored or never followed through by management. It’s incredibly frustrating to come back to an unclean room after a long day, especially when you’re paying for a comfortable and convenient experience. Basic cleanliness and responsiveness should not be optional in any hotel, let alone one under the Marriott umbrella. The lack of accountability and disregard from the management was the most disappointing part. A simple apology or even a solution (like providing clean towels or offering a small courtesy for the inconvenience) would have gone a long way, but instead, we were met with indifference. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone expecting reliable service and a clean stay. There are too many options in Fort Lauderdale to settle for poor service like this.

The room was disgusting– plates were put away dirty, there was hair on the bath, the pillows smelt as if they haven’t been washed, etc. Most employees had an attitude/kinda rude, from the front desk ladies to the cleaning crew. We asked for our room to be made because it hadn’t been done by noon, and they ignored our requests… and they said that the sofa-bed was expected to be made by us, instead of the personnel. Location overall is good, but the service was truly shocking for a Marriott group hotel.
