It is not a luxury resort. The service here is abysmal. The employees obviously do not care and look to do as little as possible, especially in the restaurant. I have never encountered a worse bar staff than the one at this hotel. They do not want to help they do not even want to sell and you have to beg them for a drink, especially the morning shift. Food not something special, about breakfast, please, you have to try to avoid, nothing good, only so few varieties of food and cold. Completely disappointed. While the place may be beautiful, it’s like putting lipstick on a pig when you have staff that doesn’t care and is obviously rude.

Hotel 5 stars for laughing...No customer service, no manager, NO ONE, the reception without staff, no cleanliness in the room and in the public areas, there was everywhere trashes, cats and peacocks feces, breakfast was poor and untasted, no variety of foods, we tried to enjoy our lunch but food was anwful, we requested an early breakfast, they told us from the reception will provide us a breakfast boxes for two, we were two persons and the breakfast was for ONLY ONE...Barman in the bar was so lasy, so bored without a smile...we needed for drinking something and the bar was empty without staff, Barman was absent, around 2 pm. What a shame!!! We lost money and time..

Nice Hotel, best beaches, god food. But I had the worst massage and reflexology ever, more stressed coming out than going in. The most amateur, painful reflexology session I've ever had. The masseuse obviously had no idea what she was doing - She had sharp pointy nails and spent about 15 minutes scratching my head with her nails in one direct repeatedly Avoid, unless you enjoy incompetent and painful attempts at reflexology from untrained masseuse.

Suddenly we decided in the end of july to visit the astir of paros hotel..it was our mistake to choose this hotel for spending our time and money... It's about an abandoned hotel, there was not administration, not good service about food, food was awful, nothing special, the morning bartender was extremely bored and his coffees was terrible. not again to this hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel: excellent location and facilities. The room cleaness , day per day, was pretty nice. very good bar service, also the breakfast service was very good. The reception team was very friendly and helpful, specially mentioning to the general director. We are planning to come back next season.

Overall the hotel is great, it provides a large pool, tennis court, a delicious Asian restaurant, excellent service from the staff, and cleaning facilities are great. The only things I would definitely improve are the extra charges, they were quite expensive, and the breakfast buffet should be more variated. As a family we really enjoyed our stay at the Astir of Paros and we would definitely come again.

Everything was great.  The staff, the facilities. One of the best 5 stars hotels we have ever been to. We will visit them again this year for sure. Advise: You should try the Asian food. It is delicious. We loved the pool, the beach, the exotic garden. Unforgettable stay. Dear Astir of Paros, thank you for everything. See you again very soon.

This hotel is at the best spot in Naoussa but the good news end there! It belongs to another era! The owner must either spend a lot of money to revamp it or sell it! It is a pity to have such a property and not be able to convert it into the talk of the town! The staff is helpful and kind but the management is absent!

Astir of Paros is being promoted as a beach hotel but it is apparent that management has abandoned the beach! Photos on the hotel’s website show a well-groomed, albeit small, beach with nice wooden sunbeds with white mattresses but alas one finds some old style metal sunbeds (some broken) with no mattresses, dirty and covered in sand! During our week-long stay, we have seen no member of staff attending to cleaning the sunbeds, the beach or raking the sand which is full of dry or growing weeds. An old umbrella with a rusted metal pole and concrete base was lying flat on the beach throughout our stay! We raised our complaint about the facilities on the beach to the receptionist on the day we arrived and asked him to relay it to the management but unfortunately we heard nothing back. As a result, on several occasions we had to venture out of the resort to other properly organised beaches! Our junior suite was decent, freshly painted, spacious and clean. However, the furniture is aged and is in need of replacement. A clean white cover over an old sofa or armchair is not good enough I am afraid for a 5* hotel. Also water pressure and water temperature issues should be looked into. Buffet breakfast is leniently average. Restaurant menus are in the form of photocopies on loose, typed A4 sheets of paper!!! Really? In a 5* hotel? The restaurant is headed by a Mr Babis, probably the rudest person we have ever come across in the hospitality industry! Waiter Aphrodite and pool barman Demetris on the other hand were very polite and efficient! The hotel is well located and has extensive grounds. With substantial new investment, progressive management and well-trained staff it could become the real “Star of Paros”. In the meantime the Greek Tourism Organisation should have another look at the number of stars it currently deserves. Andreas A., Cyprus
Response from Property: Dear Sir, We are truly very sorry for having such experience. The decoration and the style of the hotel, is the policy of the company. Rooms and bathrooms, with Parian marble, of course have been renovated. The hotels beach is taking care, early in the morning, during the day, whenever is possible - depending of the guests being there - and after sunset. The pool sunbeds are from teak wood, with brand new mattresses. As far as industrial breakfast, is concerned , the hotel has a very reach buffet with all fruits that can be purchased in Paros, - seasonal and tropical – the best Italian and Greek cold cuts and a variety of pies, croissants, cookies, nuts, dry fruits and items for vegetarians and diabetics. Sincerely The team of Astir of Paros hotel

My family and I stayed here for 8 nights. Overall the hotel was lovely , picturesque , very clean and the staff were very helpful and polite at all times. The manager of the catering area was lovely to guests , and very helpful to me and my family , sadly this did not translate to his staff, as a greek Australian it was quite disappointing to hear how he spoke to them . A little bit of what Aussie’s would consider “Modern Day Slavery” it was quite sad for me to witness this especially given how hard these young staff were working and the Horus they worked. No one deserves this treatment. The breakfast was not good, fruit was often brown and was not replenished often. A big shoutout to Antonis, Afro, Dimitri and the reception staff who were always so patient with my families indecisiveness.. Especially Daniel - who made my two little boys feel so at home and often spent time speaking with them and kicking a bit of the soccer ball too. Thank you for a wonderfully experience we certainly will be back. Until next time…

The hotel is overpriced. The front desk is incompetent and unable to fulfill what they described on the website. The service is good from the maids and taxi but you can’t use all the facilities. They advertise tennis and golf but they are not accessible. you’ll need a taxi to go from the hotel to the center of the island where are the restaurants and that’ll cost both ways €30, sometimes more..

Sadly this hotel is not a 4* or 5* and needs lots of work to bring it back to 5*. For the location it is set, it is beautiful but you do need a car to get into the Village. You would have thought for a 5* hotel in a location like this - shuttle buses into the village would be put on. Other hotels nearby offer this service. Running a buffet breakfast for a 5* dining experience, is really not what you should expect, especially for the amount of money you have paid per night. Table service with a menu is what is expected at 5* not buffet. All the same items were brought out every morning with not much variation and with a family of flies. It’s all about quality not quantity. The room standards have dropped and need updating and re-decorating. Slightly different to those pictured on the website. Number plaques had been replaced with marker pen written on the door. Sunbeds on the beach need replacing, it was hard to find a bed that was not broken. Half of the beach was used as a dumping ground for waste so, was not pleasant to be on the beach and having stole, also was covered in seaweed with a strong sea breeze. Hotel advertised a golf course onsite - this looked unused, scrubland with long grass. Also, advertised art shop but this was closed too. Pool bar onsite was really the only source of drink within 3 miles but was closing at 4pm on a daily basis due to staff shortages but was opening at 8am - no logic. Thought it would have been better to open later to keep the pool bar open in line with the pool till 8pm. 2 restaurants onsite had only just opened a week before we arrived and were very quiet. We looked at the menus but were informed that only 1/2 of the items were available. We did eat at the Asian restaurant and found the food to be lovely apart from the chicken wings that were uncooked. The hotel grounds are full of cockroaches 🪳, I’ve never seen so many in my life. While we were at the restaurant onsite one evening I visited the ladies toilet and there were 9 cockroaches running around my feet! I mentioned to the waiter and he promised they would be gone by the morning. I can confirm they were still there when I left for my flight 5 days later. I saw cockroaches around the restaurants and pool area every day. The hotel was very short staffed and was trying to recruit. We found only one lady on reception the be very helpful and friendly, the others where very rude. The barman seemed to do most things but didn’t get any appreciation. Each morning at breakfast we would here just another unhappy customer complaining about the service, standard or the WI-FI which, is very basic and caused a whole party to move hotels while we were staying.
Response from Property: Dear J C, beloved guest of Astir of Paros We lament the fact that all your comments are shown here and not outspoken whilst your staying here with us, as understood on June 2022. Allow us to please not only for your information but for future guests to be welcomed by us to excuse all of your not fair comments about our venue and the services are been served for many years. The Astir of Paros is in walking distance from Naoussa center, unless 1,2km is too far for some people , which is totally respected from us. Please see attached photos proof of high quality of food that is offered at our buffet breakfast. The room plagues marked with pen do not exist unless you mean the fact that on same day of your arrival is something that yes happened just a shortwhile before your arrival. All have been already replaced. We are really sorry for making you see that for some days during your staying over with us. As for seeing the pool bar closing after 4pm , we are again sorry to see you experienced this situation that lasted just for a week, due to staff been hired but not able to reach the high standards we wish and work for as for terms of offering services to our beloved guests and that is why we delayed the launching of our Pool Bar. Know please that opening hours for our Pool Bar are 08:00am to 01:00am every day till the end of the season 2022. The two restaurants of our venue, the Aeolos and the Poseidon are remaining open and are welcoming tens of people for lunch and dinner since day first of our opening, If you found though our menu at the Poseidon restaurant with not many of choices, we are more than happy to let you know that our chefs are offering Greek cuisine at the Poseidon from 12:30 to 23:30 pm every day as well. We feel obliged to have to demonstrate you the disinfection and sterilization certificates we own and are taking place in our venue in these beautiful 50 acres of wild life with the most rare kind of trees and plants delivered from all parts of the world as if this action is not taken-meaning the desinfenction- our lavish and most rare gardens will vanish . So hearing for insects seeing them around it is something that might happen into these landscape of wild lavish gardens , but cockroaches not. Short staffed restaurants, hotels etc is a fact around the world, as far as it concerns though our Hotel, the 62 employees for a number of 57rooms, can assure you that this is something that for the time being is not a great issue for our Hotel. Your comments for our WI-FI is astonishing us and we assure you that works and operates perfectly till today.
