JJAMCKENZIECentral location right by the train station but very quiet. The staff here and EXCEPTIONAL. Rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning works great. Breakfast had a large variety of options with eggs made to order - outstanding view from the top floor restaurant. Would recommend for anyone staying in Okayama or the surrounding area.

SSahim Sammy boyPlace is super sick. They had a cool little map in the beginning of the place that shows all the guest that have visited home. We were the first Canadians there and cant say at all that we were disappointed. For a quick little stop to Okayama it was amazing. Just a small thing but finding the address was kinda difficult as you will receive an email from BETTEI giving coordinates that dont really go to the home. Jjonjjajolocation is close to Okayama station. hotel uses self check-in and even though the machine completed my check-in and issued me a keycard before 3pm, the staff rushed over and told me that i can only use the room from 3pm ao i had to go out and come back later. quite an unhospitable move i must say…

Jjuz4benThe hotel is minutes away from Okayama Station. As it is close to the rail tracks, you will be able to hear the sound of moving trains, though it didn’t disturb me much. Near the hotel is Hattori Bagel, which I will highly recommend. The breakfast provided was so-so and you might want to consider the bagels instead.

GGuest UserThe room had a very strong odor (sweat and old cigarette smell), which made for a disappointing stay. When I contacted the front desk, they promptly changed me to a different room on the same floor, but after some time, the same odor started to linger in the new room as well. It seems that the odor has permeated the air conditioning and the entire room, possibly due to the conversion of the former smoking floor to a non-smoking area. The staff were polite, but those sensitive to smells or seeking a completely non-smoking environment should be aware of this. I hope they will make improvements.

GGuest UserThere are hardly any restaurants near the hotel! You have to walk about 5 minutes to even get to a convenience store, and it's about 1 kilometer to the main street. Unless you take the main road, it's a traffic light nightmare! The station is far away! I couldn't get around much due to the typhoon, but if you use an Uber coupon, it comes out to 500-700 yen from the station. It's nice that breakfast is included, but there isn't much food. The main street was unexpectedly crowded, so I wouldn't recommend it.

GGuest UserThis was my first time in Okayama, and I chose this hotel. They offer free breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, so you can choose what you like. For dinner, there are two choices: a rotating daily set meal or a fixed curry rice dish. The public bath is a bit small, but it's fine for about four or five people. The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Okayama Station. There's a Don Quijote along the way, and plenty of restaurants and izakayas nearby, so there are lots of dining options. Convenience stores are also very close. The room I stayed in this time was quite spacious, even with my luggage open, there was still plenty of room. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Okayama. The only thing to be aware of is that there are about five or six steps right after you enter, which can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.

GGuest UserVery nice hotel with a bath and sauna. A highlight after a long exhausting day! They provide a japanese style dinner, which is sadly not vegetarian and a breakfast buffet, which isn‘t bad. The room had a smoking smell and the bed and pillows are very hard, which we found pretty uncomfortable though.

KKaiara2597The location is nice. Although, I got a smaller room than I saw in the pictures, I couldn’t stand up straight because the roof was so low. Also, there was a short went to another room and I had to craft a curtain because the light from the other room shined straight on my face and you can’t sleep the other way around because there’s not enough room. Furthermore, even though I left my keys for the cleaners, they just left the clean towels and sheets outside my room and told me to do it and the key was left in my door. But the showers and toilets was nice and you have privacy which is nice.
