Amazing
IifantineGoing island hopping from Okayama to Uno Port (for Teshima and Naoshima) was the best decision of this art festival trip! Staying in Okayama provided food and drinks, and there were plenty of boats that didn't require a 6 a.m. queue. During the festival, you had to get up at least 6 a.m., which was much better than Takamatsu. The hotel's free bathhouse was a lifesaver for those trudging through the art festival. The vending machines were convenient for buying water, and they even had power banks for rent. The washing machine was 300 yen per wash, though I didn't use it for drying, which was enough. Laundry is so important on a long trip. Okayama Station is a five-minute walk away, with an underground passage right outside. It's surrounded by Okayama's bustling district, with major shopping malls all around. Aeon Mall, a ten-minute walk away, has my favorite Japanese brands, Niko and Frank Store. Sun Station (Is that the name?), a shopping mall just down the street from the station, also has sports and boutique stores. On my last day, I even walked to Beams, which took about twenty minutes. Next door was Big Camera, where I couldn't stop shopping. There were several convenience stores along the way, the closest being the FamilyMart downstairs. You can see the sign for Kani Doraku right as you exit the station, and the food is really good value for money. I walked to Korakuen Garden in just over ten minutes, stopped by Little Fox Cafe, and also had brunch at the nearby Gaofen Brunch Shop. I walked to the Okayama Tenjinyama Cultural Center designed by Kunio Maekawa and happened to see the Okayama Local Art Festival. It was really nice to see the architecture and art. I was originally going to go to Okayama University to see Kazuyo Sejima, but I didn't have time, so I gave up. It was perfect to go back to Okayama Station, Osaka Airport, from Okayama. I look forward to coming again next time!
GGuest UserThe location is super convenient. There is a supermarket just walking from Okayama Station. There is a supermarket downstairs, next to AEON and Jingan Hall. There is a pharmacist service in Matsumoto Kiyoshi in the underground street. You can buy some medicines that require a prescription from a pharmacist. You can take the Shinkansen. It’s also very convenient. The hotel can also help collect goods purchased online. Highly recommended!
SSiu ManThe hotel is in a good location, just 5 minutes away from Okayama Station. There are large shopping malls nearby, so it is very easy to find food. The hotel's self-service check-in is also very convenient, and the staff are also happy to help if you have any questions. I really like the breakfast at Toyoko Inn, it's delicious!
GGuest UserThe room is very small, but very clean and well-equipped. The room rate of less than 400 also includes breakfast, which is a simple Japanese breakfast and tastes better. The hotel provides toiletries, which can be picked up on the ground floor. There is also a washing machine and dryer. It takes 5-6 minutes to walk to the JR station. Except for the faint sound of trains outside, it is almost perfect and a very good stay experience.
YYUZULEMONAlthough I checked in late at night, the front desk staff were very courteous and made my stay comfortable.
It's about a 10-minute walk from the east exit of Okayama Station. There was a cute orange Myra stuffed toy on display in the lobby. There was a picture of Myra next to the bed in my room, and even the cups and toothbrushes were Myra designs—I love cute things, so it was very comforting. The room was clean and I had a comfortable stay. Myra seems to be the hotel's cute symbol. I also really appreciated the 24-hour free all-you-can-eat ice cream sticks and all-you-can-drink coffee, as well as the all-you-can-eat Yamazaki bread in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located near Don Quijote, Aeon Mall, and convenience stores. Nishikawa Ryokudo Park is also nearby.
I would love to stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Okayama.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were very polite.
We were upgraded to a very comfortable room. The view, bath, and breakfast were all satisfactory.
If I had to say one thing,
the coin laundry was a little hard to use.
I would like to stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity.
It was a great start to my trip. Thank you.
SSiren500It's hard to describe...
1. The facilities are old. In addition to the two sockets on the table, there is one at the door of the toilet, and the main point is that you forget to take it away. They sell everything under the concept of environmental protection, water is 100, various vending machines, and toothbrushes and toothpaste are taken downstairs.
2. The bathroom bar is definitely cleaner than in China, maybe because it's old. Anyway, the table and bedspread look a bit uncomfortable. I ordered a big bed, and the bedspread made my butt itch after using it for a while
3. It's far away from Okayama, 20 minutes walk, mainly because the road is bumpy all the way there, it's really not friendly to pull a big suitcase. From the hotel to the nearby dining place is basically equivalent to walking back to the station. Even the convenience store is less than 10 minutes away, which is definitely not the distance to buy water in slippers and coats.
4. I spent a long time looking for the name when I checked in, and I met a wave of business meeting guests. Who said Japan is quiet?
If it's a good place, it includes breakfast, and the variety is quite rich. Early in the morning, curry rice, French bread and coffee...
SSarah PaulaVery nice hotel with a bath and sauna. A highlight after a long exhausting day! They provide a japanese style dinner, which is sadly not vegetarian and a breakfast buffet, which isn‘t bad. The room had a smoking smell and the bed and pillows are very hard, which we found pretty uncomfortable though.
GGuest UserActually, it is right next to the railway but you have to take a slight detour. I think the ecology near Niwase Station is very good. You can see super cute cormorants catching big carp. The area around the hotel is very quiet. The room is quite large, much larger than the average Japanese business hotel. There are also massage chairs and jacuzzi. It is very comfortable to soak in the massage chair after walking all day. I fell asleep in the massage chair. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic and always smiling. The hygiene is very clean. The soles of your feet are especially clean when you walk barefoot. There is a 711 nearby, but the hotel can also order meals. You have a good rest. I highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserThe location is close to the station and there are shopping centers and marts around.
But the hotel is old and messier than that
It feels like a cheap motel in Korea
There's a smell of mold in the bathroom, and there's a lot of mold on the shower curtain.
I understand that the room is small, but it smells as soon as I enter the hotel ...
