NNicDFor context, we were in Laoling on business and ended up staying here almost a month in total spread over two visits and many bookings.
The good:
Quick check-in. Staff spoke basic English.
They provided one extra desk and chair on our second visit (but not on our first which was for 18 days).
Very good value rooms.
The suite is fairly spacious (but doesn't even come with a desk or chair which seems like a basic omission).
The location next to the biggest mall in Laoling.
One member of staff was very helpful when we left something behind after our first stay.
Laundry room is very helpful (note that you don't need detergent, it's automatically added!).
The bad:
They flatly refused to give us an extra desk on our first visit despite doing so on the second so we had to buy it ourselves.
They wouldn't program our key cards to be valid through more than one booking, and often even when renewed they still didn't work.
There was nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom. The WiFi was very slow.
The toilet was hugely annoying, flushing once and splashing you as soon as you sat down (why I have no idea!) and then again as soon as you stand up.
The ugly:
Staff, including management, were unhelpful to the point of ridiculousness both before and after we arrived. Communication, even though we speak Chinese, was incredibly frustrating, and we were extremely angry by the time we arrived. It's the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel in China and it really spoiled our entire stay.

GGuest UserThe health services are very good and parking is very convenient. There is nothing wrong with the hotel except that the facilities are a bit old. The room is quite spacious and the bedding is quite comfortable. Go to the Ancient Canal Park to see the night view. It is very convenient to walk back. The night view is beautiful and it is a popular spot for internet celebrities to check in.

AAnonymous UserIt's really good for the price. Although Yucheng is a bit expensive, it's really worth the money. The room is very warm and the service attitude of the clerk is also good. It's just that the breakfast at 10 o'clock is a bit cold. There is really nothing wrong with the rest.

Recommendation ①Turn right immediately into the Food City when you leave the house. The public kitchen is very good. You can choose breakfast or dinner. ②Go out and cross the road on the right. Li Ji Braised Chicken next to ”A Bowl of Chicken” is the most authentic grilled chicken in Texas. The grilled chicken in the Food City is owned by Han Kee. It became a joint stock company after being acquired. The taste is also good, but there is still a gap between the two. According to the local people, Li Ji’s Braised Chicken is not far away, so there must be Han Ji’s Braised Chicken. Wherever Li Ji drives, Han Ji will chase after him, everyone understands.

Even my 100 yuan country hotel in Taicang Feilu Village, Jiangsu is not comparable.

SSheshouzuoxueLast time, when we booked a hotel in Yesanpo, the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. So this time, staying at Arcadia again, we specifically asked about the beds beforehand. The staff suggested we check the room first, and since we were quite satisfied, we decided not to switch hotels. We originally planned to try out golf; hotel guests could experience it for 80 yuan, but a coach was 500 yuan an hour. Unfortunately, someone got sleepy and by the time they woke up, it was already five o'clock, so we ended up not doing anything. Later, we heard the golf course had BBQ skewers and a bonfire party – was it for the Dragon Boat Festival? We were absolutely thrilled! The golf course was a huge bonus; it was beautiful for photos, and we even saw several couples taking wedding pictures there. Everyone was having a blast around the bonfire at the party, and there was even a band! Those few hours in the evening were incredibly fun, though we regretted not bringing mosquito repellent. Around the golf course, there were also green plants, mulberries, and what I think might have been snakeberries. Our child had a wonderful time.

The room was elegantly decorated and impeccably clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. I had a wonderful night's sleep! I especially loved the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows; whether it was the bustling city during the day or the dazzling lights at night, it was truly captivating. The bathrooms were modern, the toiletries were high-quality, and every detail was meticulously thought out.
The breakfast menu was incredibly varied, exceeding expectations, offering everything from Western breads and juices to Chinese congee and dim sum. It was delicious and energizing for the day! The hotel's gym and relaxation area were also very clean and well-equipped, perfectly meeting my morning workout needs.
What impressed me most was the staff's service—whether at the front desk, in the guest rooms, or in the restaurant—everyone was patient and attentive, truly making me feel at home. A special thank you to Mr. Meng, whose thoughtful assistance made my trip so much smoother.
If I ever return to this city, I will definitely choose this hotel without hesitation! I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates quality and comfort!
