Panglao Hotels with Bars

We had a very pleasant stay at Henann Alona Beach. The hotel is big, and it was very busy during checkin, however they have so many pools that you don’t notice the amount of people. We had a great time in the poolbar at happy hour, and spent all our time at the resort! Restaurants could use a bit more healthy options and breakfast some more vegetarian (there wasn’t even a plain yoghurt or granola bar, and more unhealthy choices) options. If you go out of the resort you directly walk into a street full of bars and restaurants! Gym was very well equipped and rooms where good. Please improve the curtains, since they were not blacking out the room.

It was our third time in Bohol and stayed at South Palms before which we had a very good experience. This year, we decided to stay at Modala Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversart as I have heard that it is one of the newest hotel in Panglao. And yes! This is now my most favorite hotel around the country! We were allowed to do an early check-in (we waited for almost 2 hrs for this as they have to prepare the room but totally fine with us as we enjoyed strolling around the resort). Everybody was welcoming and we loved how approachable they were. Totally adored our room (Tawhay Garden room) and just perfect for the 4 of us (2 queen bed). It was very neat when we arrived, bedsheets and pillows were on point equipped with toiletries, bathrobes and coffee fix (with electric kettle). I also appreciate the ”Happy Anniversary” bed design + small cake (all complimentary) that they have prepped for us. Cold Cucumber drinks were also available during check in which were very refreshing. They also have a free photoshoot +1 hard copy during your stay (additional payment if ever you decide to avail the whole photoshoot package). The hotel is situated beside a mall called Moadto *****, perfect if you want to try other restos and there was also 711 for your quick needs. Front beach was super nice with fine sand and my son really enjoyed swimming to both swimming pool and beach. It was very clean and you can already see a lot of fish swimming around. Water in the pool was lukewarm, just perfect if you get cold swimming at the beach. They also have a kiddie pool and jacuzzi area. Breakfast buffet spread was sumptous and filling. Everyone was very pleasant to talk to and attentive whenever we needed something. Special mention to Jasper who had been my 18 month old son's playmate all throughout our 4D3N stay at Modala. He was very charming and my baby boy loved him so much. Thank you once again, Modala! We are very satisfied with the hotel's topnotch customer service and superb facilities. Food was really great and we enjoyed every ala carte orders that we made. We will definitely be back.

Positive side: The hotel is close to the Alona beach via the second hotel of the same brand. You can access to sunbed of the second hotel but not of the beach pool. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Improvement side: The noise isolation is low but remains acceptable. Buffet quality could be improved despite of a large range of food. For the same price, we think that we can discover others restaurants in the area. Next time. Final, we recommend

Housing Agotata restaurant which serves tadty selections of local and western dishes with different views ambiance. Guests can also OPT - for official diet meals request while room service options are available. The property is just 1km from the famous Alona Beach and 3km from Danao Beach master Cebu International Airport is approximately 87 km away..

We stayed at this beautiful resort last year to celebrate my nephew's 3rd birthday for 2 nights and 3 days. As far as I remember, we availed the discounted rates during Travel Expo in SMX. All of our requests were granted especially the simple birthday set up when we arrived. The room , beddings and CR are great, except for the location of the assigned room/villa everything is perfect. I informed that we have 2 senior citizens prior to booking, we were expecting rooms nearer to the restaturant. But, we really enjoyed our stay especially the buffet breakfast and ”calmly” atmosphere at the resort, the staff are polite and acommodating too. I recommend this place to my firends and give a chance, we will definitely stay again at this resort.

Best customer service eveer! From arrival to departure sobrang alaga.All the Staff always greet you with big smile. We requested for a single bed since may baby kami. Walang available, kaya inupgrade nila ang room namin for FREE. Also, they grant our request for a beach front anniversary dinner at no extra charge! The manager , Sir Rey was verryyyy hands on to the preparation. Food 10/10 delicious, and affordable Room 10/10 need lang siguro pagpapitin ang bidet since nasa right sya :) but no issue at all. Amenities 10/10 Staff and Crew 10/10 lahat approachable at mabait Service 20/10 🙌 wala akong masabi! Highly recommended. Thank you Lord for the favor!

Reservations team was so responsive and accommodating. Front desk staffs were more transactional. They can't seem to like interacting with guests since by the time we arrived until we checked out. F and B staffs were more courteous like saying Hi and hello. Housekeeping was helpful. Aircon works well. Room is clean. I love the hot and cold shower as well. We love the easy access to the pool. We had the room on the ground floor which is good for us. Minor issues : - they don't provide extra bed for extra person. Room towel as well. Very limited. However, we managed to ask pool towels from Hk team since we are mostly swimming and we really need extra towels. - front desk is just until 10pm so if you need anything, you have to check it before reception closes. But actually they have guard at night who was so helpful as well. I requested a bath mat from front desk and nothing came until i met a guy from Hk and he sent one. - though the front desk was not so helpful. Other team was able to fulfill their lapses. So its okay. We are not demanding people. its just that we lacked those in our room which are basic. Housekeeping must to check on this before check in time so we can reduce our time and effort. But overall, we had a great stay. We felt at home and we enjoyed the big pool. My son had a great time at the pool. The resort is like 5 minutes drive away from the beach. But theres tricycle outside. Kuya driver was so nice to us. Didnt demand for a high price unlike other tricycle drivers. If you need good tricycle driver. His plate number is #357.

I stayed at this place with my wife for 5 nights. We are long term travelers. - location: the hotel is a bit far off, you will need to rent a scooter at the hotel to explore the area. Currently, roadworks makes the access a bit difficult but possible - staff: lovely staff that genuinely takes care about you. The receptionist (Sam) was really helpful with transportation advice as well as for any other query. - rooms: rooms are spacious and serviced daily. The AC works well and is silent (any long term traveler will know the value of this). There are blackout curtains and the beds are quite comfy - food: we loved the food at this place. The menu clearly displays the German ownership of the hotel and the portions are European sized but local food is available as well. - surroundings: the pool is clean and very nice, the area is surrounded by resident bungalows to which you have no access. All in all the hotel is value for money, certainly partly due to its location...

The hotel is great! The service staff are also great and considerate. The service is great. The hotel is very clean and the environment is very good. The boss is Chinese, which makes people feel at ease even when going out. The breakfast in the hotel has a variety of choices and is delicious. The swimming pool in the hotel is Two, great for taking pictures! There will be occasional island-wide power outages, but the hotel has its own generator, so there is no need to worry! If I go to Bohol with my friends next time, I will still choose here!

The resort was well maintained, looks exactly like the pictures on the website. We booked on July which is a lean season for Bohol so there's not a lot of guests checked in. Thus, most times my friends had the pool to ourselves. Alona Beach is a tricycle ride away and you just need to pay php50. Place is close to the airport (5-10mins away) and main highway so no problem with getting around too. Food in the resort is great, but selection is quite limited to international cuisines. Atleast you don't have to go outside when you're hungry if you're too lazy to leave the resort. While you're at it, have some wine. ;) Staff are accommodating and friendly. Our room was spacious enough for 3 people and clean. Beds were comfortable and AC is working perfectly fine. There was no water in the CR after 6pm on our first day, but it was fixed the succeeding days. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will book here again when we return to Bohol.
