Araiya is the perfect hotel if you want to get away from it all and have some peace and quiet or if you want to explore the area and return to a comfortable, even luxurious hotel at the end of your day. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is also a positive - it is far away up in the hills and reached by driving endless perilous winding mountain roads. But it also means you find yourself in paradise when you get there. The service is exceptional and special mention must be made of Ravi and the chef of the Araiya restaurant. They all spoke good English and were there for any request we had. There are abundant delicious dishes on the menu; a pool; bar; and an excellent spa. In fact we had the best massages we have ever had. The place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are huge, and everything seems new and is well-maintained. Enjoy the breathtaking surroundings and tranquility while you unwind.

I must say that this resort is an excellent option to stay in palampur. Far from all the crowd but having all the luxury of a 5 star hotel. The resort is surrounded by tea garden and has an excellent view of dhauladhar range. This resort has limited rooms so all the hotel staff gives you a personal attention, gives a very personalized and special feeling. Food is excellent and the chef was courteous enough to customize and cater to our needs. Resort has excellent heated pool, spa, sauna, steam and gym. We also met the owner mr dinesh butail. What a gentlemen! we had an amazing time with him tasting variety of tea and listening some wonderful songs sang by him. Can't complain about anything. It was a perfect stay at infinite a team resort at palampur. I will definitely visit again.

Right from the welcome drinks lovely mock-tail rooms surprisingly clean and fresh but do remember to carry your own handwash as that was a big thing missing in bathroom as we arrived on saturday dinner in the restaurant was soo nice one of best dinner we ever had as live music was soo soothing the clap box instrument was better than a drum-set lovely like all there song if you don't get a room as it's booked fully most of the time do come for dinner on saturday night that's an experience in itself also morning breakfast was very lavish atleast lot of healthy options like papaya, dalia, boiled eggs, sambhar vada fresh curd and stuffed pranthas cornflakes milk not to mention other unhealthy options like canned juice which is mostly dissolved sugar, sandwiches friend potatoes rest parking is very abundant check in and check out was a breeze thanks to neha and anil ji best place to visit in palampur if not staying then one can have dinner on saturday night

The hotel offers amazing view of the hills and is located amidst a village where you can see people farming. We had booked family suite and it had two rooms which offered ample space for kids. The food is fabulous no matter what you order. The staff is courteous and is very helpful. They do provide food and sleeping space for the drivers which is a plus. You can enjoy the beautiful small garden and amazing views either from your balcony or from terrace. The only bit that requires improvement is the quality of tea which our entire family found odd at times. Thanks and we will surely come back soon.

I booked a stay for me and my two family members and I book Chimbalhar Heights, Palampur through makemytrip.com. I booked Deluxe room and I read what Amenities are included in my stay. So I packed my bags as per my booking. But tye worst experience started when I went there. My room didn't had any Toiletries, No Toilet Tissue Roll, No water.. nothing was there. I was so annoyed and irritated with the staff because when you asked them to provide these items, it took them 5hours to provide me all the items. Towel was also not there in the bathroom. And I spoke to the owner who is Retired Captain from the Indian Army and on phone he sounded very promising and professional but when you reach there... you have to be on your own risk because either you will be fighting with the staff to get the items delivered in your room or you will end up being irritated on yiur vacation. I think makemytrip.com should investigate these properties first and then list them on their portal. In the end, I would just say that please investigate throughly before booking through makemytrip.com because some Fraudulent hotels like Chimbalhar Heights are also registered on their portal.

The place is nice and clean. Ample parking available. The bathrooms are clean. The only bummer is balcony is road facing. The restaurant below fired up their grill in the evening which made the balcony inhabitable for a while due to the smoke. That being said the restaurant serves great food. The butter chicken they served was the best i have had till date. Pudina chutney served was very fresh. The hill views from the hotel are great. Will definitely suggest this place to stay.
