Great location surrounded by restaurant and attraction placed to explore. Fast check in procedure

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton near Kyoto Station, and it truly exceeded all my expectations! Among the two DoubleTree hotels in the city, this one’s close proximity to the station makes it incredibly appealing, and its modern appearance suggests it's one of the newer options available. After a steaming hot walk from Kyoto Station—which is only about ten minutes if you know the way—I immediately fell in love with this hotel at first sight! The ambiance and aesthetic were so inviting that I impulsively decided to cancel my hotel booking in Osaka and extend my stay here—a little rebellious decision, but one I do not regret! However, navigating from Kyoto Station to the hotel can be a bit of a challenge, much like maneuvering through a maze. It would be fantastic if the hotel could provide a clear guide for guests after booking so that everyone can easily find their way. The interior design of the hotel beautifully blends Japanese elements, reflecting the charm and heritage of Kyoto. Walking through the lobby felt like stepping into a traditional Japanese art piece, perfectly in tune with the city's ancient spirit. Convenience is another highlight! With a 7-11 right next door, it’s as easy as pie to grab a late-night snack. It’s almost like having a personal convenience store just a stone's throw away—perfect for satisfying those midnight cravings! Moreover, the staff here are exceptionally trained and eager to assist. Every question was answered accurately, and the service was impressively speedy—truly a testament to their professionalism. To quote one staff member, “We aim to make every guest feel at home,” and they certainly lived up to that promise. Although I didn’t get to try the breakfast during my stay, as I had early excursions planned to avoid the crowds, I’m already looking forward to tasting it on my next visit. If the rest of my experience is any indication, I have no doubt it will be delicious! Overall, the DoubleTree by Hilton near Kyoto Station offers an incredible blend of comfort, convenience, and cultural richness. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Kyoto!

Room is very small, good location, near to metro. Do not waste extra money on the breakfast, it's not worth it.

Super tiny room. Two people simply cannot just be there at the same time. If one wants to move a little another has to lie down on the bed. lol. No closet, no space , the bathroom size is similar to lavatory on a plane (well bathtub is some extra). The bed is not full size I think as well. I would say, there’s no window (rather no than yes lol).  Other is quite good. What is good: The location and simplicity of check-in process are heavenly comfortable.

Location is very good and easy to access. Lots of shopping mall and restaurants outside hotel. Can go out to have night meal even after 11pm. Only drawback is no parking at hotel.

very surprised for late checkout fee i was charged, I was called around 11:00 to inform about it was time to check out, I went downstairs to speak with the desk and make sure they understand my request to allow me some extra time to close my luggage and I would come down for check out in 20 minutes, when I went for actual checkout at 11:55, despite asking for permission to stay longer I was charged 1100Y and I felt, despite being withing their rule, pretty unfair since I have asked them earlier

this budget hotel is located in prime location. very easy to anywhere including to kyoto nara or kobe. it is clean and friendly service. i will stay again here when i come to osaka

Convenience location and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel service is good and hotel will provide bathroom amenities which locate in hotel lobby.

Too many foreigners/tourists in Osaka and the surrounding region so bare this in mind. The hotel has a mixture of Western and Asian (non Japanese) guests. Service is very good, the rooms are super small but modern and cosy. Sound proofing seemed to be pretty good. You’re smack in the middle of the city so it’s ideal for travel, shopping and food.

Service at counter isn't the best. One day we can asked for sugar and the lady gave. Next day our parents requested they said no. Applies for shower cap too. They have a corner for you to take daily essentials but it's not comprehensive. No shaving cream, shower cap etc. Not the best hotel imo. Bed is pretty small (smaller than Queen), and room is small as well. (Only able to have 1 opened luggage) Location is fantastic. Just 1 min walk to nearest Metro inlet. Just right below hotel there is Family Mart on the left, and 7-eleven on the right. Rooms are not very sound proof, able to hear noises from the road. We are staying at level 02 and 03. Final verdict - we won't revisit this hotel. Nikko is still the best!

For the budget and location, this hotel is great! It's super convenient and about 5 mins walk away from the station too. It's comfortable, clean, the staff were nice, and their breakfast is also pretty decent. I highly recommend it to all travelers.

- Central location. Within minutes walking distance to main shopping belt as well as transit station to travel to other city like Kyoto. - room size small for asian size who travelling as a family unit. 2 adult in room with a 29" Luggage will have narrow space for moving within room. - As a single traveller, there will not be any concern. - Perfect front desk service. We have a connect stay at another city and front desk was patient and helpful to guide us through the paperwork for luggage shipment.

The hotel is perfect location, near by big shopping mall and train station. 7-11 convenient store is beside of the hotel, easily can be found.

It is a very good location, two minutes walk from Shinsaibashi train station, and offers convenient access to many places, e.g. eating and shopping.
