Every time I go back to Ordos to visit relatives, I must stay at the Ordos State Guesthouse. I was one of the earliest guests of the State Guesthouse. At that time, the State Guesthouse had just opened, and the waiters had not received standardized training and spoke a strong Shaanxi dialect. After Crowne Plaza took over the management, the hotel's software services have been greatly improved. Around 2008, the hotel often hosted government meetings, with a large number of guests and a very rich variety of breakfasts. The Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel also made authentic local dishes. I miss the glory of the State Guesthouse in those days. With the rapid increase of five-star hotels in Ordos, the State Guesthouse has inevitably declined. The hotel's hardware is slightly outdated, but the management has made great efforts and spent a lot of money on the hotel's garden. Every time I stay in the State Guesthouse, I like to walk around the hotel and take pictures of the flowers and plants in the hotel park with my mobile phone.
