Dormio Resort Obertraun Reviews

Very nice resort with spacious compound, and very convenient. We took a boat from the resort to Hallstatt, 10 euro per person. From Hallstatt, there is a public bus taking us right to the bus stop in front of the resort. However, I was quite disappointed with the wrong information in trip.com regarding the rooms. Intially I wanted to book a chalet with 2 rooms as we are a group of 2 couples. When i made the booking, trip.com website stated that 1 room can fit in max 2 persons. So naturally i had to book 2 rooms. When i arrived that the resort i was shocked to find out that I was misled to pay for 2 chalets with 4 rooms! We didn't use the other chalet of course. It was totally unfair that because of the wrong information in trip.com, we have to pay for 2 other rooms that we didn't need at all. I am asking for compensation from trip.com regarding my loss and it's been 4 days and i am still waiting to hear from them for a solution.

Excellent resort, nice and cozy. But there is deposit 300€ which is a bit shock, usually other hotels 100€. But no worries it return back once check out. Overall nice we have nice stay here.

The food is delicious

This is an unforgettable resort, like being in a fairyland, with a lake next to it. The resort has many children's play facilities, which is very suitable for the whole family to play. On the other side of the river is Hatshepsut, the most beautiful town in the world. We stayed in a log cabin, which is rare for Asians like me to stay in. It was very romantic and dreamy here, and I didn't even want to leave. There is a small convenience store attached to the resort, which has a lot of food. The rooms have a full set of kitchen utensils and microwaves. After buying food in the store, you can go back to the holiday home and cook it. You don't have to worry about having nothing to eat. The bus stop to Hasutat is right in front of the resort. Accommodation here is twice as cheap as on the Hasselt side. After staying for the first night, I really wanted to stay one more day the next day, but unfortunately the hotel was full. The beautiful lady also gave me a free breakfast, which was the best breakfast I had during my trip. When checking out, the lady kindly asked me what I thought of the resort. I said I really wanted to stay for one more day, and the computer immediately checked for me again, but unfortunately there were no rooms available, so I had to leave and go to Hacienda to stay for one more day. I hope I can come back to this beautiful town next time and stay a few more days.

Stayed for two consecutive nights, the service was very good, the room had a variety of tableware for us to cook delicious dishes. The hotel breakfast was very delicious, although there were not many styles.

My favorite hotel in Europe. I want to come again. It is so beautiful. The facilities are very complete. There are many places to play in the children's park. The restaurant is also very delicious. The room is big enough for a family of eight to live together... Recommended

Be sure to note that the hotel address is the next stop after Hallstatt. Do not get off at Hallstatt, otherwise you will have to wait for an hour.

Near the train station, convenient transportation, great view

A very clean, quiet and warm wooden house group. The location is convenient, next to the train station, and parking is convenient and free. At the foot of the Alps, it is very suitable for leisure and vacation, and the kitchen utensils are very complete.

No comment. If you have a choice, avoid it.

This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in, bar none! The towels and bath towels were very dirty, with abundant red and black stains! I went to the front desk and was told that they wouldn't change it. If I wanted to change it, I would have to pay for it. The bathroom door is broken and cannot be closed! Kitchen oil stator smells very strong! The capsule coffee machine is broken! The words on the oven (microwave) buttons have all been worn away, and I don’t even know which button is for what! Breakfast is very simple, but the price is not low! The location is very remote and there is no decent convenience store!
